Hi,

My name is Jack and I'm 26 years old and from Western Australia. I started the hobby probably at least 15 years ago now and have done it on and off since then. I've had quite a long period of time off, I'd say at least 5 years now since playing my last game and have gotten back into it in the last 2 months again with a Red Scorpions army. It's a little bit boring to start out with marines, but they were readily available on the internet and were one of the armies my friends did not have. I just built a new gaming table, scenery and have managed to amass a fair few points of marines in a short amount of time (I'm an all or nothing kinda guy). Haha ebay KILLS me as I have a tendancy to hit 'buy now' when I see something new and shiny, I have a LRC and 3 Razorbacks on the way right now, haha, oh dear..!

The first army I bought and collected was blood angles ( bought space hulk as one of my first ever purchases and expanded it to the tabletop battlefield). I then followed this up with a Khorne Berzerker themed army which managed to grow over the years (But was ultimately cannonfodder as my winged demon prince with a glaive would hop from combat to combat crushing everything) and finally I had a small Grey Knights contingent that went missing somewhere before we gave up playing 40k. I then had two Mordheim Warbands, one Norse Warband which I am very proud of for the painting and small amount of green stuffing I did and a Possessed Warband which looks pretty nice too (I need to finish painting both when I have finished painting my marines up). I think I have a Necromunda Gang at a mates place as well somewhere.

So yeah, back into it in a big way, we had our first game of 5th edition the other night and a lot has changed (I dragged my old gaming buddies back into it with me as well). I think this forum is amazing and there is a lot I have been reading over the last few weeks, I hadn't thought to look for forums before on 40k and it's been an inspiration to see what everyone else has been doing. I've got quite a few projects on the go as I don't really like leaving much standard so I might start a thread for my goings on and put some photos up.

Cheers for all the information!

P.s. I'm not sure if it will work but I put a photo of my dread below (Used a tutorial from here to make the left leg position):

Welcome to dak dakยก Nice to see a nicely painted dread doing something other than stand like a doofus. Its a subtle change i know but it looks like to me anyways that he is dodging something.

Yeah dude just dive in, it's not that hard and if you bugger it up they are pretty cheap on ebay so you can replace it. My photo there secludes the lack of cables to the left leg which is something I am still trying to figure out how to do nicely.
