Well what do you have available to play with?
Some basic advice for Chaos in Apoc.
1) Daemon Princes are awesome, they can't be insta-killed by SD weapons, they have some sort of Inv save and they're fast enough to catch Titans or super heavies while being strong enough to tear them apart.
2) Termicide squads still work well, even though you don't get to use AP1 against super heavies (according to the Apoc vehicle damage chart). You'll just have to use larger squads of them. The good news is that if you get in close enough, you can shoot past the void shields.
3) Heavy armor (like Land Raiders) are almost as easy to pop as a Rhino if your opponents go heavy with the SD weapons, so don't rely on that AV14.
4) Don't forget that Chaos is a short range army, you aren't going to win a shooting war so focus on getting up close and nasty.

You'd have to ask your group. I think it would depend on how many daemons you have, and who they serve.
If you are restricted to CSM and Universal Assests, I think the combination of Corrupt and Despoil and Vital Objective would be awesome.
PM me your list, this is an interesting puzzle.

That'd be really nasty on a stationary objective game. It'd essentially make any bombardments worthless. In a mobile game like this, maybe Strategic Redeployment and Obstacles.

Please do so. Also, ask if you can use Spearhead formations as Apoc datasheets. You'll need a GW account to access that page, but the account and download are free.

You're going to play Apocalyptic Cities of Death? Except for the improved rules about vertical movement and buidling colapse, there isn't much you need out of Cities of Death. The stratagems aren't worth it when you have Apoc assests.

Take as many Monstrous creatures as you can. Then strategically re-deploy them right next to your opponent. This works pretty well.

The only rules that Cities of Death add are the Stratagems, a rule that says models can move vertically and horizontally where in regular 40k you'd have to split your movement (2" forward and 4" up for a total of 6 compared to 6" forward and 6 more up), rules destroying buildings, and a ton of missions. The Stratagems almost all work to improve your mobility or restrict your opponent's (blowing up buildings, making road blocks, traveling through the sewers, etc.); so the Stratagems won't be worth taking in Apoc. The rules for movement and destroying buildings are kinda required for urban games, but they're minor changes. Then of course you won't be using the missions in Apocalypse. So no, it really shouldn't affect you.

some advice for chaos in apocalypse...
your best formation is probably the chaos conclave, because of the sheer disruption it can cause to your opponent. since each lord or demon prince is a seperate disruptor beacon you can cover all the most critical areas of the board with the disruptor effect. This forces him to either deploy everything right away, or risk losing half of his reserves to the effect. Either result is very solid for the chaos player.
Lords of the Black Crusade is also a strong formation because it gives you a bucket of strategic assets. Indiscriminant Bombardment, Careful Planning, The Eye Opens, Corrupt and Despoil are all really strong. I think the other asset they give you went obsolete in 5th.
My standard tactic for apocalypse is to take vital objective, chaos altar, and the corrupt and despoil assets. Place fateweaver on the chaos altar and put a bunch of marines carrying the icon of tzeentch there as well, along with the lords of the black crusade or some other hard core assault unit with a good invulnerable save. Try to place the altar as centrally as possible; if you can use that force to dominate the space around a vital objective plus another non-vital objective then you've secured 3 objectives in a game where there are only 7 in contention. contest as many of his objectives as possible, and deep strike something in on top of one of the objectives that he might be able to grab but that isnt guarded; corrupt and despoil that. if you can do these things and hold one more objective then he can't win; you hold 4 objectives out of 6. Alot of apoc players get too focused on killing the enemy. its an objective mission not a kill points mission.
Also you can deploy everything in a battle line if you're going first; then hopefully he will deploy everything in a battle line too, so you have two big lines stretching across the board. then use the strategic redeployment asset to concentrate your forces on one side or the other, whichever has the most objectives, and you will have a localized superiority of force in that area, probably something like 2 or 3 to 1. use that to crush him in that area and completely ignore the rest of his line. in this way you can take alot of his army out of the fight all together simply because they're too slow to get into position before the game ends. it's better than killing them with a shooting attack or with assaults because those things take effort, but if they cant reach you it doesnt require any effort at all, they're just effectively dead.
Always take destroyer weapons when possible. take as many lascannons as possible. you can kill anything with enough lascannons. the obliterator formation is pretty strong. I run 2 of those in apocalypse games plus a ton of terminators, something like 70. you can solve any problem with enough terminators. give them combi plasma weapons. good luck.

Iron Front.
not unless they have a special rule that destroys terrain features. There are a few things that do that but not very many, so the chaos altar should be pretty safe.
for your strategems I would take flank march or strategic redeplomynet and plan out before hand how you would use either one. they are both extremely powerful assets.

Mk... LOTBC is really tempting with the careful planing. Oh and since im allowed 3 Cities of death stratagems one lets all ST:10 weapons demolishers to literally demolish buildings as long as the hole of the template is in the ruin or building (turns buildings into ruins, and ruins into nothing!)
