Well what do you have so far? That would be more helpful, rather then listing stuff you may already have

My general opinions on the relative effectiveness of the regular units in Codex: Orks. This is just to get you started:
Really Good:
Lootas
Battlewagons
Killa Kans
Deff Koptas
Ork Boyz
Nobz
Big Mek w/KFF
Good:
Deff Dreads
Tank Bustas
Trukks
Warboss
Big Mek w/SAG
Burna Boyz
Grotz
Ok:
Stormboyz
Kommandos
Wartrakks
Warbikers
Meganobz
Don't Bother:
Big Gunz
Lootes Wagons
Wierdboyz
Warbuggies Automatically Appended Next Post: Bear in mind that without knowing what kind of list you run, I don't know how effective these will be individually, however.

Clearly you've never fought tyranids with Orks. Or Eldar.
A small unit of tank bustas works great as a suicide unit.
A larger unit is more vulnerable and harder to handle but can still do a decent job, especially against an all-mech list.
I'd only use them en masse in an apocalypse game, where they could be reserved and combined with "precision strike" to hit on 2+. Very scary.
Shake Zoola wrote:Im curious as to why warbuggies are in the dont bother category?
The short answer is that I put them there because I have never had buggies contribute significantly to my success.
If it were my army, I'd be using Koptas in almost any situation in preference to buggies--they scout, they outflank, they ignore terrain, they tie down enemy heavy shooters, they can have power klaws, they can get invulnerable saves, and they're faster. They're more vulnerable to large blast weapons, but that's pretty much it. I rated wartrakks "ok" because they don't have so much trouble with terrain, but are basically the same as buggies.
More importantly, though, these are guidelines. I tried to give a basic lowdown on how effective I have found Ork units to be.

Well your Loota and Burna squads aren't legal, so 15 of both of them would be good, Put the Burnas in a waggon and you're golden. The Loota can then be used as 3x5 man squads or 1 big one. You could also do with some Nobz, either to lead you mobs of boyz or in a big death star squad.

Buy more loota/burna boxes (and a box of boys (fantasy boys are cheaper) to put the extra arms on) and you should be good.
I also think that Kans could find a place in your list, that or a few battlewagons to stuff the boyz in.

So, it looks like you're going for a green tide list - the next thing you're going to need is a few nobz to act as scoring heavy-hitters. (they score when you have warbosses)
Battlewagons will be useful to speed your list up, but not strictly necessary. I would also field at least one trukk if you plan to use those burna boyz in any capacity other than fire-absorption.

Totally agree with this. Burnas are magnets to shots. So foot slogging them is almost never a good idea. Id try and get them there either as safe as possible (in a vehicle) or as fast as possible (in a vehicle) seeing a pattern yet?
