Ok guys I got sorta burnt out on my Ravenwing and decided to work on a figure from Hitech Minitures that fasteddie got me a while back.
I also did another test/practice figure of a IG trooper between dry time. So this is a small update and I thought I would be almost done with my RW but teaching fasteddie some airbrush techniques and working on his tanks that kinda ate my time on my guys but gave me a good break to get me recharged to start on my RW. OK nuff blah blah here you guys go.

finally an update! Bikers look really good! I like the teckmarine and jet bike! BTW where did you get those barraks from? Ive just fancyed making some that all.

Also my blog has been updated quite a lot since you last saw it!lol! (link in sig AKA blelow!!!).Love to see more raveing wing madness. gota show this to a friend who collects DA too! Convince him to do somthing like this as well!

Not that I am aware of but there are few other like-minded Finno/Japanese people around here, so might have been some of them.

Hey everybody another small update and do I have a treat for ya ! I am about 75% done on the Hitech model and did some changes to match my current army. I pin washed certain areas of the armour using Secret Weapons/ Les Bursley wash light body wash. And I gotta admit it is one of the best washes and is better I mean way better then Vallejo's washes ( sorry they cant be perfect on all products ).
I also started on the shield and trying to throw a classic RT theme to it like I did on my first terminator squad.
Hopefully I can be finish with this soon along with my RW which I been ignoring .

Rogue Wolves thanks for tuning in . Well I have been using my airbrush to help me get the shading right. But when I did brush it after priming it with black primer I based the robe with GW Bone white or VMC Iraqi Sand (I use the Vallejo Iraqi Sand) then wash it with GW Gryphon Sephia. Then wet blend using the base color as a highlight. If you never wet blended a good tutorial is my long time hero and former GW guy Mike McVey at Mcvey studios or my current master Massive Vodoo.

ephreal ( love your name ) thanks for dropping in . Yea it's a old school scale modeler trick that now made it to our hobby. You gloss coat the area and this protects the paint and wont bleed into your current area and using a controlled washing with a fine tip brush. The gloss coat gives the wash a smooth surface to flow in with ease. Please go to youtube and check out Model medic, awsomepaintjob and sleepylafiel ( this site is in japanese but you still get the idea)

CL my DA brother where you been? I am glad you like it Yea the model is good has tons of bling but up close you start to see parts that could of been detailed better so this is sorta a short arm distance or on the table model to look at so you just far enough to see the models good parts . Kinda like a abstract art you gotta stand at a distance to appreciate it .

Good day mr GD1 how is life treating you dude? good to see some more work from you, i'm a bit of a Greydeath1 groupie I'll admit, and i'm steadily bouncing from GD1 painting concerts to Fasteddie concerts! he's quite the modeller isn't he! impressive although i need to see his tattoo closer up as it sometimes appears to be a phallic device on his forearm? :-)

how's the hightech mini overall? size wise and quality? I've looked at other mini's to paint and like some (not all) of their stuff but wanted to incorporate it if i could in an army? not much on them out there being worked on so it's nice to see someone doing one, and I may add doing one quite well too! I like the robes around the head that's going to really draw your eye to the centre of him nicely!

and now it's time for me to crank up the Prodigy and bust out my own brushes for a day of painting joy! or until the sunshine lures me shirtless outside to bask in it's warmth! then i'll hate myself for not painting much so I'll annoy Kristy and miss dinner screaming from the Nerd Lair "HANG ON I"M JUST PAINTING, THESE PEOPLE NEED AN UPDATE DAMMIT WOMAN!" .... or something like that!

@NF09 Thanks man. As for the Hitech models this was my first and fasteddie got it for me for painting Calgar. But like I mentioned earlier overall its good but the face and the cape could be better.
But man you gotta get snappin on painting some of your marines we all need a update.

Hey everyone I know you have not seen any new RW update its because I have been distracted with other models . But to make it up here is the Hitech model and now calling him Captain Micha'el the Deathwing himself ( my fluff on why they call it the Deathwing) .
He could of have more details and if you been reading my thread you know my gripe on this model.
So be honest on how he turned out.

I like the armor, especially the right shoulder pad.
IMHO the cape seems fine

It looks fine to me, though I think that the cape and maybe the armor could benefit from a bit more "depth" in the color.

That guy seems fine, but I do agree with you and the cloack only needs some last final edge highlights!

@grey- appreciate the more resource thing, the two you have currently given my are great! Those have already helped me out but don’t mind more if you know of em!

Yup, looks good. Love the blade, but perhaps the armour could use some more definition. Some dark brown or black outlining for the armour plates would define them more. A better solution might be to give it a wash of heavily thinned black oil paint.

Ignore the kraut it looks perfect. It's really cool to see another master of the deathwing besides belial (who is awesome but still). That mini is seriously pimp though, I love it.

Thanks! Yea that decal fit perfect in there . My freehand sucks so glad FW makes decals.

Thanks for the imput on the cape and armour. My camera seems to wash some of the fading and when I did wash it originally and DAAAAAMN IT!!!! Had to start over . So after re basing it and detailing the gold trim then I gloss coated him and pin washed him. And to tell you the truth the wash did not cling to too many areas.
Oh well thanks for the imput I do need it to get better

Thanks HAZZER, Yea as mentioned above the camera washed some of the blending and fading. Also not a big fan of the more extreme hard lining and highlighting. As you seen in the links I sent you

Hey Meph loving how your custom SR came out . Yea read above and you will see what happened when I did . But thanks for your comments its always good to get some constructive criticizm
