Hey everyone got another update for you all. I am 90% done with the jetbike pilot and still playing with the highlighting and weathering and still not to happy with it . Also about 90% with the sgt. And got tons of touch ups. The base on the jetbike is done and let me know what you guys think? The clear peg I moded by drilling into it and placed a pin in it to get the tilt on the jetbike if anybody is asking .
And last got the assembly line still going on the bikers.

Hey GD1, hows it going. I like that jetbike, i wasnt sure at first in bare resin. it looksr a bit chunky, after paint however is pretty cool! Liking that mat aswell. What size force are you upto now?

@CL welome back brother . Yea the jetbike kinda look odd but it was a look back in the old Rouge Trader days and early GW when Judge Dred was sorta related in the 40k universe. The artist of Thud the Barbarian (god I am old ) drew a jet bike in RT and looked chunky as I called it like the current bikes look now. Anywho it is a one off for now till I can do a what everyone is calling pre heresey army and paint it like yours. As for points I believe I am at 2700 points I think bit will tally it up and will let you know.
But it's good to see you back and looking forward to see you DA.

REally cool blog. Very interesting to read and the pictures are wonderful.

Great job dude, the chunky jetbiker is excellent! the tilted pose is fantastic, like he's scouting the battlefield searching for the fallen! any close ups of the armour you're not happy with? looks good to me!

Yeah i remember thud the barbarian, tiny head + enormous body! comical but very cool. Mines not meant to be pre heresy anyway.... I just always thought they were cooler when they were black

NF09 yea the chunky flyer turned out great and that pose is what I was looking for glad you noticed it and as for me not happy well I am my biggest critic I just gotta keep telling my self that get it to table top quality and that I am not entering it in any contest .

Ok again everyone thank you for lurking or commenting on my work you guys and gals help me motivate my painting and also love to see your work also. I will be updating again soon but this weekend there is F1, Bathurst, and UFC god too many distractions but does give me a break.
As I mention before Fasteddie is off all next week to eat up some of his PTO or he will loose it and that will be a week of painting so stay tuned everyone.

I really like that platform for the base, would look wicked as terrain as well.

It's cool brother I am always willing to help you on hobby tips. I use Vallejo pigments which is cheaper then Mig and FW and gets the same results. Also for a cheaper way to go is to go to any art store and buy pastels and use a small metal cooking strainer to grind down the pastel sticks to the amount you want to use.
This is a old scale model trick I found out after I bought my pigments. If you go back on this thread I believe I have a vid or link on it.

Remi I use Vallejo pigments using straight iso alchohol 99% and a little Devlan mud wash to get this effect. And for my unhappiness of my work well I am just a big critic of my self and I already got over it and just like my first batch of termies my second came out better so maybe my next squad will be better looking in my eyes .

Ok a pretty good update and yes you will be shocked what I was painting . I decided to help fasteddie with his army and help paint his tanks.
He is off all this week to burn some vacation time and it will be a week long paint session. He was getting use to his airbrush by painting some terrian pieces and after showing him some tips I say he got it .
And I been working on my attack bike along with Eddie's tank so let me know what you guys think.

You guys have the sickest terrain! I have some projects coming up that I'll share after a while, but it just seems over and over that you guys have a really intense table.

Airbrush...I really need to stop talking about it and just make the investment.

Master is cost effective replicas of the expensive ones with the same features. You can one of those with a compressor for the price of an Iwata or pasche airbrush.

As for investing in a airbrush you gotta do it. Just collect the nieghborhood cats and sell them ! Or finish all your honey to do list before winter sits in and your wife will approve your purchase .

I still have the PM GD1 sent me a while back, I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for other than I want something that I can use primarily for terrain, I don't see myself doing miniatures w/ this.

Alright dakka folks another update. Fasteddie stayed home to build the rest of the tanks so I am about 90% done with his vindicator I just gotta do some details and weathering and I started on his rhino and about 60% done.
While those where drying I am almost done with my attack bike I just got touch ups and weathering. I also primed and somewhat based the bike bases and will have to do some brush work and weathering later. So again let me know what you guys think.

Cool stuff. I really like the terrain you have and the attack bike is looking good... cant beat a techmarine on a bike! as for the ultramarines vindicator.... booo! lol. It looks good though

Glad you like all of it especially the attack bike. It's wierd they give you a tech marine head in the sprue but no back pack hmmmmm wierd every picture of a RW nobody done one so why not all the tanks have a tech marine why not the Ravenwing lucky for me Eddie has over 20 yrs of bits I got a backpack .

Anyways glad you liked it and I knew I was going to get gripe from my followers sooner or later when I deviate from the DA colors . Common you guys gotta understand fasteddie is kinda like Vanhammer and love to build and do conversions but that slows his painting down and I hate fighting a half gray Ultra Marine army . So why not help him out .

I love the bunker and the barracks you did! did you make them? considering that 'Old blue balls' over their is a modeling nut? or are they bought and based well? if they're bought i'd love to get my Nerdy little hands on them to pop in the Nerd Lair!

@NF09 glad you like the foot wear somethings I just can't stop wearing since I left my hometown of Oahu wells the terrian pieces that Fasteddie is working on are both from Microart Studios. The tower and barraks is one kit and the bunker is another both made of dense foam except the tower its made of MDF like Warmills product btw which I will be purchasing soon.

@Northern glad you like it and thanks for tuning in. BTW you sound familliar, meaning that you are from Finland/Japan. ...Did you play any mmorpg game like Eve Online?
