I think I remember GW selling some kind of spray seal whichwas slightly rough, but now I can't seem to find it and I was just wonderiing if anyone knew if there was a substitute out there?

It was called "Roughcoat".

Never used it and I don't know of any replacements. Just thought it might help you to know its name.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Haha off-topic much. In answer to your question yes they did use to make Roughcoat but it has been discontinued. However if you look for stone effects spray paint you should fine a suitable replacement.

Agreed a thread on an actually seal would have been cool.

I have a can of the GW Roughcoat, its really quite useful. Only ever use it on tanks and scenery, but it makes drybrushing easier and looks really decent.

Plastikote do a stone effect and a 'velvet' effect, which is much better IMO. The stone is OK for texturing something like a hillside, but not for buildings.
