Im planning on making a few simple objective markers for my upcoming Chaos Army, roughly what size of base do these sit on??

When the rich rage war it's the poor who die

Armies I have: Chaos Space Marines, Tau, Necrons, High Elves

Armies I want:Lizardmen, Warriors Of Chaos, Dark Eldar

Armies I may get: Dark Angels, Tomb Kings, Vampire Counts

Somewhere in south-central England.

I don't think there is a specific rule.

People often do them on 25mm or 40mm round bases, whatever fits the piece. Anything about that size is going to be all right, just don't make them too big. They need to go into the same places are normal size troops.

Square is also fine if it fits the piece. For example, one of mine is a small Tardis (alien technology) and sits on a 40mm square base.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Sweet Jesus, Nurgle and Slaanesh in the same box!?
No, just Nurgle and Slaanesh, Jesus will be sold seperately in a blister.

It's also fun to have a whiole piece of area terrain as an objective, as in be inside it to hold/contest, if you want a specific building to 'be' important. Otherwise I agree with that the base size preferably should be small.

I use 25mm mostly for my markers. 40mm if I really need some extra space.

If you're going to make a few, I'd put most on 25mm that will fit anywhere, with perhaps one or two on 40mm bases if you want to make something a little more impressive to fight over. Pretty simple concept, really - just need to balance convenient usage with your desire for a bigger "canvas" on which to work.

Banners, poles, standards, etc can look really good and fit conveniently into small areas. I'd recommend going with some of those for convenience and a couple large scenic ones for show.

I use 40mm for mine, with a single 60mm for a 'key' objective.

My 501st Space Marines have ones with small "Imperial" roundels (Star Wars Galactic Empire that is) on a blue background.

The little banners came from my Tactical squad sgts who aren't stupid enough to go into battle with a big "shoot me" banner.

Atm all i was planning on doing was Gsing some Khorne Icons onto a 25mm base but that seemed too simple imo. So what im gonna try do once i get some cash is have a Khorne Icon gsed onto a toothpick and have some decoration around the base of the toothpick, be it skulls, axes or some other thing that the blood god would be happy to have lol.
