So I just ordered a Cadian battleforce off the GW website and was looking at things I would possibly want to get in the future. I noticed the Kasrkin models and being an IG player in DoW I love the Kasrkin. Then as I was looking through my IG codex I noticed that there wasn't anything for Kasrkin. Do they count as stormtroopers or what? Thanks for the help.

*Edit*
Found what I was looking for. Sorry.

On moon miranda.

Use them as Stormtroopers or "Grenadiers" (Carapace Vets).

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

Ummm...somewhere...

They work perfectly fine as ST or Carapace vets, or even as bodyguards in the PCS

They're the metal models, right? If so, try to avoid it. it's expensive. You may just try to get the normal Cadian squad box and model them as vets, though you may need some melta weapons, if you want those to be melta-vets.

Kasrkin are just a specific name for Storm Troopers. Use them as Veterans, because the current Storm Troopers have a small niche of effectiveness.

To me it seems like Storm Troopers would be pretty good units if you have a specific goal or use for them in mind.

Pity that vets cannot be upgraded with Hellguns . . . or rather, pity about STs generally.

They seem useful if youneed to fill the Elite slot...but vets seem a better choice.

Stormtroopers are good, deepstrike 2 meltas behind the enemy and kill a tank or to before they die. At 110 points roughly, I usually double my points back with one shooting phase.

vets and stormies are fundamentally different units. Most people can't seem to look past "but vets carry an extra plasma gun!"

If you don't want the harassment qualities of pinpoint plasma (or melta) precision, you dont' have to take stormies. As mentioned, the models will work for anything wearing carapace armor (or just regular troopers if you tell your opponent in advance).
