Hey there, my name is Hans, and I'm new to 40k.
A coupla years ago I bought the starter box for the Cygnar Warmachine faction, painted 'em all, and played one game. It was fun, but I didn't have a lot of time nor a community at the time. Fast forward and I'm now in Portland, OR, where there's an FLGS with a big 40k community, and I start to get the wargame itch again. I pull out my WM models, but realize that the style and the scale of the game doesn't really grab me. So I look at 40k for a couple weeks (owning and playing the Horus Heresy boardgame also factored into this), and decide to jump in, with...you guessed it, Space Marines.
So here I am, painting up my first SM army in a bright orange-black-blue color scheme, and figuring it out as I go. I'm excited!
