Morning all.
Not sure how many will actually read this or be interested but my introduction is as below:
My involvement with anything Games Workshop began just about 20 years ago now, when it took me two weeks pocket money to buy one blister pack... hell I remember when they used to stock Squats in the store! (maybe they do again now it's been years since I was in a store and now live far away from my native England)
I started to collect an Eldar army for 40k. My regular opponents would be Space Wolves and Ultramarines, with the odd cakewalk against Imperial Guard. As well as painting and playing 40k, I also collected and played:
Man'O'War and the expansions, with complete Dwarf and Imperial fleets.
Space Hulk with expansions
Blood Bowl, with a Wood Elf team
Necromunda with expansions, with complete Orlock and bald-bloke team, can't remember their names!
Doom of the Eldar boardgame
Battle for Armageddon with Chaos Attack expansion boardgame
The original Horus Heresy board game - still dust it off occasionally!
And over five years worth (maybe 1991-1996 never missed one) of White Dwarf magazines, still in the attic.
As I've slowly stopped playing the board and tabletop games I played (and own most of) the PC games, including:
Hero Quest
Space Hulk
Space Crusade
Shadow of the Horned Rat, and sequel which the name of escapes me.
Rites of War
Chaos Gate
Final Liberation - this is amazing and if remade to today's standards could be huge.
Firewarrior
Mark of Chaos and Battle March - such great potential but such a letdown
Dawn of War 1+2 and expansions
Blood Bowl Legendary Edition - this is just out and is great fun, highly recommended.
And will most definitely be purchasing any new GW game, (and hope with fingers still crossed) that Battlefleet Gothic will be made into a PC game.
My most fun was always with my first love, the Eldar, and my biggest regret was that I never got into Battlefleet Gothic as I had no opponent (cue violin).
In a nutshell that is me.

Welcome! You sound like a good old gamer, lots of memories, but they are memories unfortunately, Games Workshop has changed a hell of a lot, you have a fair bit to catch up on. But this is a good group here and there are some excellent modelling sections and a wide diversity of players new and old.

Don't count on it...

Other than Space Hulk that had a short limited release the other year they have withdrawn all support or entirely scrapped all these.

Welcome to dakka.
Like you I started way back in the mists of time (1990) and played almost all of what you have (noteably not MOW)
I liked it when GW did stuff outside the 3 core games
