Looks good Shas.... my only advice is to situate the belly gunner to the rear of the bomb bay, as that is where the majority of belly gunners were situated (if not all of them iirc)

I had thought of that but was looking more for the Ju-88 route. Except a turret as opposed to a fixed gun gondola set-up.

You should make an Orky Flying Fortress... That would be most epic, but i'm kind of curious what the size of your bomma is going to be when completed and the ammount of gun emplacements etc. General specs, if you know them anywho. Thanks Shas!

So far the present beast has twinlinked supa shootas forwards, it will have a twinlinked turret bellow and above, and a twinlinked tail gun a bomm bay and wing mounted bomms
Crew: Ork Pilot, Grot nav/bomabrdier, and three grot gunnas

Well, this is a one of a kind work, but I suppose if I had the parts and sheet plastic another would be doable, (May not look the same) Still far from done and will need to order more plastic sheets for such things and Bitz It will take a while, or I make one in parts and make it a mold thing to cast in? Everything I do is seriously instinctual inspiration!

I used a sentinl canopy as a rear gunner position for the tail guns

Well, been doing some more work once the weather calmed down,. Due to his strategic location and vulnerability, the tail-gunner grot got this kind of enclosure to make him feel better(Honestly he was jealous of the belly/chin turret gunner)

Also as can be noted, wings are getting work done at last, and I gave thrusters as well, so it will appear as the Big Bomma, Da Great White, has basically five engines!I am also considering that the ripped plate along the sides of the Bomma, I might find guns and give it waist gun positions.

Like i said! flying fortress . also your rear guns look a little mis matched, although i've never made anything ork-ified so maybe its part of the scheme. Lookin great so far!

Man! That is looking great Shas! Did you base the fuselage design on the FW Fighta-Bommer? The toofy intake is my favorite part! And yes, the more oddly-placed turrets and bubbles the better IMHO! (shame to waste an armored sentinel top though)

Also loving how much this thing looks like a shark, could be like a tau piss take seen as all there flyers are fish. Anyway really cool want to see it finished

@Dave: Well, I was using the FW Orky FB as a basis, but they rounded it up a bit, I did wind up with something bigger than I anticipated. This will indeed be like a flying fortress, and that sentinel lid was combat salvaged! Me Meks nicked it fair an' skwair!


@DiDDe; Okay, maybe a small fin, propped up with more of the plates I will be adding rivets to all of those!
I thought it was a good way for the meks and oil grotz to go with it.


@Vik: Oh yes, and they are plates that will have rivets of course! Night work is cooler than day work.

@Bigfish: LOL! My Orks are very irreverent if anything else.

Very nice paint job on that plane shas! Rust marks and such look great and the reds are both deep and vibrant. Nice work.

Thanks Gitsplitta, I am proud of the way the Dakka-MiG is coming along. What are your thoughts on the Big Bomma?

Okay, so instead of making the likely vulnerable tail with just sheets of plastic glued haphazardly, I did the same thing I did with the fuselage and wing roots, rods!

Now of course, we could not leave the rods naked as it were, so I fashioned 4 same shape panels.

Since some asked nicely, yes, I did add a central fins so that WAAAGH!!! Magnotz can Pishle at the Tau a wee bit! I even gave a nicki out of it off the trailing edge for effect.

Oh yeah, got the tail sections done, "smoothed down some edges, and gave them pins for the holes I will drill for their support!

Hey.... grot gunners are the *least* likely to shoot out their own tail! No more than a guardsman or guardian would!

The Ork Bommer kit was purposely designed with the only firing arc from the one optional grot turret to be the tail, besides, not true, a Navy Gunner has a BS of 3

I'm pretty sure the only random Orky "damage myself" rule is for the Dive Bommer, you have to roll to see whether you hit the deck in a fireball, drop the bomb and pull up, or drop, pull up, AND the grot gets a shot. I don't believe there is an accidental shoot myself rule, I think it's just for fun

shaso... that shark... now that is really takeing up shape! i was a bit hesitant at first... the recent update even got me at first even more clueless... but after the final shots you provided you won me over...head over heel!

that thing will be stunning... they won´t even have to shoot all that dakka to kill off the mere guardsman...the look will strike enourmus terror in the hearts of punny humanz^^

the fin by the way looks top notch already... i really like the shape!!!

Well, I will likely have big deflector patches on the leading edges of the tail, I patched the fin after it got bent in an accident.

See what happens when you disappear in the workshop? Thanks for the thumbs up, I call the smaller one the Dakka-MiG as I went for the MiG-15/17 look it vibed with. Ah, my IG now have a happy walker force of doom!

Now for the gray stuff work to begin! I also have to make a frame for the forwards windshield,,,likey use plastic baggy material stretched and glued in place and then 'ard coat painted on to harden it up a bit. I don't have clear plastic.
