If you look at the pics of it in the firefight Rulebook their missile pods that go on the side of the hull.

Yeah, that's what I mean for the missile launcher (Well, missile pods). - That's an optional upgrade for the Accuser Interceptor, and comes set on the Persecutor Bomber.

Have a look on page 101 in the warpath firefight rulebook. - Look on the sides of the fuselage above the wing.

That was what I needed. I didn't think about looking in the books because I haven't opened those up yet.

The seams aren't that bad. I can see how the center one would pick up if you dry brushed or painted it incorrectly but once it is primered and painted, it shouldn't be visible at all.

My only real disappointment was that some of the extra pieces like the landing skid, option missile pods didn't have real methods to attachment or didn't think about magnetization. I am going to magnetize the unit transport part so it can separate from the main hull.

The missile pods are the only plastic parts in the kit without a real attachment method, the landing skid has a V shaped surface that fits into the V shaped groove on the fuselage chin, and every other part has a definite place, and a definite way of fitting, apart from the tail fins, where the horizontal parts are identical and can go either side.

I guess my experience as a hobby kit builder helped, because I found it relatively straightforward to find where everything went - the missile pods and the metal flare launchers were the only things I couldn't place, because as it turns out they have no definite, designed place on the wings or fuselage.

Aside from the door you shouldn't need to magnetise the rest of the transport section.

Mine once sprayed fits snugly enough not to need magnets.

In the latest update on Star Saga, Mantic said they are switching Pledge Manager suppliers to (back to?) Backer Kit. Wasn't their old Pledge Manager company Geiger, the same company that handled Dropfleet Commander's Pledge Manager with all of its unknown unknowns? Wonder if there's a connection or if Mantic had similar experiences...

Mantic originally used pledge manager (https://my.pledgemanager.com/) before swapping to a custom built PM within Mantic digital made by Geiger this is their first use of Backerkit, there must have been issues with the Mantic digital version for them to swap and it would explain the Warpath PM being transferred to pledgehammer (which is still part of Geiger) and it lost a chunk of Dungeon Saga pledges at some point as well. An off the shelf PM is probably easier than a custom build and the Geiger version always had the problem of not allowing you to add on to a pledge once completed.

I'm fairly sure Dungeon Saga had an issue with phantom pledge disappearance too.

Seems the common thread is Geiger.

Built my first 5 Asterian Marionettes and their drone today.
Nice kit. A few options on the Marionettes and 3 different variant for the drone is quite impressive.

It is not the best plastic kit ever, but everything seems fine and of good quality.

The Dreadball app was never all it was cracked up to be either. And I'm always suspicious of companies changing their name. (From Purple Guerilla to Geiger.)

Yeah none of the super cool stuff about digital Dreadball ever materialised, and I basically bought the Dreadball rulebook pack based on eventually getting that app.

I asked about this guy on Facebook. He's apparently metal and currently, they have no plans to sell him at retail.

Just had a look at the Pledge Manager for Star Saga and this will be the first Mantic KS I have to drop out of. Backed every single one, including the first KoW KS and Loka. Not this one.
Shipping for the base $100 core game is $25 (£20.20!).

Plus $9 (£7.27) extra shipping for EACH add-on. Even the tiny $20 expansion that has about 5 minis in it.

And that's just domestic UK prices. Judging by the KS comments it looks like its $40 base shipping and $15 per add-on to the US. Yes, even the $20 expansion is going to be $35 shipped.

Absolute maximum, tracked and insured, assuming a massive overestimate of 5kg weight for the package, and using the most expensive standard courier in the UK (parcelforce) should be £13. For everything.

And to top it off, no paypal on backerkit, so currency conversion fees and non-sterling bank charges apply...

Ouch. Glad I skipped out on this after KS fatigue.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Wife had a $32 shipping fee for the core game and the "1 of every expansion" bundle for delivery to Michigan, USA.

Seems we got off lightly?

I temporarily upgraded from a placeholder pledge to the base game, and was charged $25 for shipping to Japan. Maybe they're trying to make up with all of us international backers for the sky high postage costs of their last few campaigns?

Now showing various models from the previously adandoned projects!

The base pledge is $15 to the US, so I don't think $25 for Japan is taking advantage of you.

Sorry, I wasn't being clear. $25 to Japan is dirt cheap. Postage was much higher in past campaigns, I seem to recall.

If anything is crossed out, then it's a case of, it's an item that's not arriving in that wave (EG, my hornet battlegroups and the mule in my GCPS battlegroup have been crossed out).

Quantities though, that's a bit odd, if it's made, it's made.

Thanks for the picture, it's great to see one in the flesh.

Has the Hornet shown up as a model yet, I regret not ordering some of them.

I too was outraged by shipping prices until I saw that the numbers I was being quoted didn't add up with what everyone else was saying. Turns out until you enter an address in Step 2 the pledge manager will assume the worst and quote you for RoW shipping. Watching my $66 shipping turn into $34 made things a bit more acceptable.

Yeah, in the UK I had $8 for base pledge shipping (already paid as part of the Kickstarter), and $8 for the $75 expansion bundle, with individual expansions being $3 each.

Yeah, turns out shipping is fairly reasonable, but the way backerkit has it laid out is terrible, it shows the incorrect pricing right up until you enter the checkout to add address and payment.

Looks like I'll get it after all, probably just the base $100 pledge for now though, expansions can be bought retail if I find I have the time to play them after playing through everything in the base game.

Most interested in what new minis will be made for the Rebs expansion.

It quoted me $2 per small add-on right off the bat, which is better than I expected. Another 5 sets of plastic space furniture for me!

Has a Rebs expansion been announced?

The galaxy is littered with the single-planet graveyards of civilisations which made the economically sensible decision not to explore space.
