The more I look at it, the stronger urge to crossbreed it with IJN Akagi I feel. Not sure of the scale, though - whether 1:700 or 1:350 is better... but this thing just REEKS of the Iron Vulture.

Anyway, an interesting kit that would find its uses once in the wild. Thanks for the photographs, Compel!

There's some scale pics with the mantic crates and Batman scale miniatures (so 35mm as opposed to 25mm or 28mm).

The mini features quite heavily in other pics from a Batman battle report I wrote last week.

Ah right thanks. My bad, I thought it was talking about Warpath or Deadzone.

The galaxy is littered with the single-planet graveyards of civilisations which made the economically sensible decision not to explore space.

Making mention in the warpath/Mantic threads...I have decided I want one more dropship/bomber to...well, be a bomber. Anyone in the US who has a spare, send me a message. Can work out a trade, sale, w/e.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Due to work, I can usually only ship any sales or trades out on Saturday morning. Please trade/purchase with this in mind.

Mantic mentions revised rules in the last update, has anyone given this a go, curious how people are liking the gameplay

So I asked everywhere else, and this is probably a dumb question, but what size base does Ingulff and Pad go on? I have a spare 40MM base and I'm curious as to if it's Blaine's or his.

For Firefight he's classified as regular infantry which goes on a 25mm base unless otherwise stated (which it isn't ) for Warpath he's an upgrade for a Forge Guard unit so 25mm either way.

Warpath Baine goes on a 40mm base, I heard from someone who only got Blaine in shipment one and that's what he came with, as opposed to the rest of us getting a separate bag of bases for all the minis.

Padd goes on a separate base and doesn't do anything really. I guess in Wapath you could get away with only using 3 Forge Guard + Ingulf and Padd on the team base.

Nice kit. A few options on the Marionettes and 3 different variant for the drone is quite impressive.

It is not the best plastic kit ever, but everything seems fine and of good quality.

I've put together and painted a few of my marionettes too - got to say I'm very impressed with the quality of the plastics.

Seems like a big step forward for Mantic - pic below of some of mine painted:

Nothing Sci-Fi related on Ronnie's blog post today but confirmation that resin casting is moving in house from March so I'm sure that will filter into DZ, WP, DB and the like.

Well it looks like Mantic is doubling down on the stupid which I seem to remember them trying before and having to back down on on one of their previous KS

'Obviously, we want to make sure you get your items, but we cannot do it without your order. If we don’t hear back from you after the deadline above, your pledge will be accepted as a donation towards the Kickstarter project and you will miss out.'

Update #79 ℹ

Feb 6 2017

Wave 1 missing orders and items deadline!

We finished shipping all the Wave 1 orders at the start of last month and hopefully you are now having fun building and painting, and devouring the new rules for Warpath.

If you haven't received your items from Wave 1, the deadline for letting us know about missing orders and items from Wave 1 is Monday 20th February!

You need to contact us ASAP if your order is missing, to make sure we can help resolve this. It may be that we haven’t received an order from you in the pledge manager. Without this we have no shipping details or payment for shipping, and unfortunately the pledge manager doesn’t show us which backers we haven’t received an order from (this is changing for all our future Kickstarter projects, including Star Saga).

Obviously, we want to make sure you get your items, but we cannot do it without your order. If we don’t hear back from you after the deadline above, your pledge will be accepted as a donation towards the Kickstarter project and you will miss out.

If you haven’t checked your order to ensure everything is there, please do so ASAP. We are very careful when we pack each order, but due to the large number of orders, a small number of mis-packs do happen.

We want to make sure these are resolved, so check your order, and contact us if you need any advice on your order. Again, we don’t want you to miss out, so if you have any issues, make sure you let us know before the deadline.

Email us at support@manticgames.com about any of the above. We’re happy to help.

Yeah, that one sentence is pretty bad. But it kinda is peoples reposibility to fill out the PM correctly and stuff.

I thought the main issue was that Mantic lost the info AFTER folks in this thread went through the proper steps? Forging an alternative fact narrative by blaming the victims won't help their rep.

er, yeah, as far as I am aware, the only missing Warpath pledges are people who didn't actually read the directions on how to do it. If you've not done your survey it for, what, like, five, or wait, is it eight months now? or something, you kind of deserve to not be coddled for your own stupidity.

Warpath, the one whose pledge manager opened at the end of 2015 and closed July 3 2016.

Mantic did lose a bunch of pledges once.

But they really do, as do all Kickstaters, also constantly struggle with barely (computer-)literate backers who pledge and never fill out any forms.

Posters on ignore list: 36

40k Potica Edition - 40k patch with reactions, suppression and all that good stuff. Feedback thread here.

Gangs of Nu Ork - Necromunda / Gorkamorka expansion supporting all faction. Feedback thread here

If they'd put it on the front page of the KS somewhere... fail to fill in the PM by the date we say and your pledge is treated as a donation I'd agree it would be down to the folk who failed to fill it in

(although there do seem to have been at least a few vanishing pledges here as well, and it's still the same basic PM that lost all those pledges the first time round, and from the same supplier that lost all those Hawk Dropfleet pledges too)

but since they didn't have that in the T&C they're stuck with the liability to provide the stuff (or of course a refund) whenever Joe Computer Illiterate (or Unlucky) finally gets round to asking where the stuff is

They can't add anything to the front page, kickstarter locks it as soon as it's over.

I could have sworn Mantic had that issue (and I am aware of Hawk's as well so wouldn't confuse them) but it could be an earlier KS and not this one though. If it doesn't apply to this KS then sorry about the confusion on my part.

There have been so many Mantic Kickstarters that I'm sure even Ronnie gets confused.

Yeah, I seriously question the legality of that, even if that phrase was included at the start. I'm pretty sure that the money in question would fall under unclaimed / abandoned property law, which usually requires the money to be turned over to the government after a certain period of time if the original owner can not be found.
