Very interesting list, I like it, but think it's low on troops. I like to take the 10 Wraithguard. I found 3 Wraithlords tricky if they get out of range of the sprirtseer or Farseer. I would swap 2 of them for a Fire Prism. I like Asurmen, but have never tried him. I would try to find room for a sqaud of pathfinders to add to the troops.

I'd try to swap Asuraman for Eldrad. Reason being is that he can toss fortune on both your Dire Avengers and Wraithguard. If your Avenger Exarch has shimmer shield + defend + fortune they'll tarpit for your 'guard much better.

Further Fortune on Wraithguard is really important. Things like battle cannons or any other large ap3 blasts really will rip them apart. Fortune + conceal will at least help the 'Guard survive these barrages. And when you are paying nearly 400 points for the squad... you want as much survivability as you can get.

Also I'd pick up eldar missile launchers or bright lances on your sword lords. Otherwise you have 0 long range anti tank. Sure you've got 3 MCs and a council for anti mech, but with no spears everything but the 12 inch range guard need to be in cc to knock out a tank. 3 bs4 AT shots will help.

Xom finds this thread hilarious!

Wow 10 Wraithguard and s Jetseer council......
Jetseers will mean your opponent has a immediat distraction, so the Wraithguard should get to advance for a turn or two with out too much problem.

As said, Eldard would be much better than Asurman here.
Wraithlords probably need guns as well. AT gun probably best, a EML or Bright Lance.

Nice to see a Phoenix lord in a list, makes for an interesting change. All I've seen in lists on here recently is Eldrad or Yriel. Which is not a bad thing, but its nice to see a list with a touch more flavour.

Agreed about all the other points, not enough troops, and a bit more long range at needed etc.

wow whats with everyone wanting to run wraithlords without any ranged weapon...

anyway...your overall list is kinda slow and all has a short threat range. that needs to change.

your only real threat is the locks on bikes...with that being the case the rest of your army is gonna be playing catch up while you zoom around killing things. also on the topic of your bikes...its rarely a good idea to have so few and have to depend on them. they will be downed by alot of small arms fire and again being your only real threat will be the first to crash and burn. in order to change that id suggest EML or bright lances for your lords

also talking about your lords...its never a good idea to not give them a ranged weapon. if they dont have a ranged weapon they will pretty much be running all game and if your lucky maybe get in one good close combat during the entire game. with no ranged weapon their threat range is reduced down to 6 inchs, and anyone can tell you that is not good at all. having the threat range reduced allows your opponent to just ignore that model all game long

however before i continue are you wanting to keep this as an entire foot based list or are you wanting to change it up to include some sort of mech

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

I think Conceal will be a much better choice over Enhance not sure how the points works.

Don't forget Asurmen has Exarch powers so the Exarch may not need them. Exarch can still bring a Shimmershield if you like.

10 Wraithguard - Spiritseers - enhance

Generally, the Wraithguard should benefit from embolden as said, and from a Fortuneseer.
E.g., against IG, the enemy will eventually have several large S8 blasts decimating the Wraithguard quickly.

the beautiful and the ugly of this list is just Asurmen
considered by many as a waste of points.

Wraithguard also not often seen for their cost

Wraithlord without throwing weapons or shooting, or why I run, I prefer to run

The delicate part of the list are the first few turns after that I just have to CC, and shoot a short distance until the end of the game

I entered the Exarchia because it has superior characteristics

after the test will let you know

I'd change the exarch's to have twin shuriken catapults.

Other than that you have a pretty sweet Iyanden list going there!

At 1500 you will probably have a few issues there, since at 1500pts you are talking a full opponents army vs your 4 units and 3 MCs.
- All the anti-tank like Missile launchers, melta, etc are going to pour into your Wraithlords killing them quickly.
- Blasts and long range anti infantry are going to wipe your DA off the field before they have a chance to do a single useful thing. At 177pts, that isn't a cheap throw away unit.
- The Wraithguard will be struggling to get in range and without conceal, you'll see that investment go up in smoke MUCH faster then you think. AP3 isn't terrible hard to come by for most armies and if it's AP3 that means it's typically S6 or higher, negating your Toughness benefit. Conceal and Fortune are your friend.
- Jetseer council is always a solid choice due ot the shear pain in the arse they are to kill, but this list is very slow. Without support there is a good chance the council will get overwhelmed and if you are waiting for support to charge with them then there is a good chance your opponent is hammering your troops from a distance.

Advised changes (competitve):
- Eldrad (if taken, drop Runes of Warding from Jetseer)
- Conceal on Wraithguard
- Consider Guardians with Scatter Laser + Warlock with Conceal. This will have about as much survivability as DA in this list, but has a S6 36" 4 shot weapon and extra Wraithsight coverage for those Wraithords.

With a seer council AND Wraithguard you will have too many eggs syndrome no matter how you go, but I believe you would get much more mileage out of:
-HQ-
Eldrad
Farseer - jetbike - stones - runes of witnessing - doom - fortune
5 Warlocks - jetbike - 1 embolden - 1 enhance - 3 Destructor

- Troops -
10 Wraithguard - Spiritseers - conceal
10 Defender Guardians w/ Scatter Laser + Warlock with Conceal

- Heavy -
Wraithlord - wraithsword - two flamers
Wraithlord - wraithsword - two flamers
Wraithlord - wraithsword - two flamers

Advised changes (fluff Iyanden):
Yriel
Farseer w/ Runes of Wit/Ward, Fortune

10 Wraithguard w/ Spiritseer, Conceal
10 Wraithguard w/ Spiritseer, Conceal
3x Guardian Jetbike w/ S. Cannon + Jetlock w/ Spear + Embolden

Wraithlord w/ Wraithsword, Dual Flamers

66 (3 guardian) + 10 (cannon) + 45 (Warlocks in jetbike) + 6 (Spiritseers) + 5 (Embolden)
right?

I want to try both
although I prefer the second
two teams of Wraithguard
three Wraithlord

Np Careful on listing point costs for upgrades, GW gets a lit angry about that stuff being posted in forums.

3x Guardian Jetbike w/ S. Cannon + Jetlock w/ Singing Spear + Embolden = 129

Essentially you get a 4 man scoring troop with some nice anti-transport fire, 3+ armor, 3+ cover if turboboosting into position, and rerolls Morale Tests if you take casualties which is essential to Ldr 8.

I use the combination quite often and my opponents have learned to despise the unit.
