I hate walking into shallow water to try and hide from dragonfire (doesn't work, rage) and being unable to attack the dragon despite half my body being out of the water.

I decided to make the non-attacking monk character. Its interesting, but annoying when you are by yourself, and run into those randoms on the road, (e.g thalmor etc.)

No way, I find it SO much easier by myself. Im blasting so many calm spells all over the place its awesome. And its nice to "practice" by shooting everyone I see in a town and not get arrested for it.
Its incredibly tough/difficult with others with you, because their kills fething count as yours for some annoying reason. When I first met Esbern, and was trying to get him out of the ratworks.....holy...fething....god! I literally reloaded the game 5 times, because somehow he kept killing something. Its definitely a challenge thats for sure. I believe it does, but I'm not 100% certain.
In fact, I think that even scripted deaths not caused by you count for your kill total. They definitely can screw up the Thieves Guild quests where you get bonuses for not killing anyone.

I would say maybe assault at the most, though I havnt tried this personally. I burnt out Skyrim ages ago. Shame really.... I had hoped it would eat alot more of my time like Oblivion.

Yea I figured it would, oh well. Playing this way is very tricky though, and also why it makes the game so fun/challenging. But obviously there is some crappy parts to it as well. Basically I cannot take a companion, so ANY quests with someone following me, is 50x more difficult because I have to sling magic at EVERYONE before companion runs someone through. So this means some quests are just impossible, like I said, it took me 5 tries to get Esbern out of the ratway for feth sake.
And dont get me started on dragons, I have a few shouts Im looking forward to getting.....but....Ive got to wait till Dragons attack towns and just heal everyone until they kill it, so any dragons in the wild, Ive got to run away like a scared child

Well, I've just finished the Civil War quests. That was fun, although it was easier charging in with axe and spell than sniping away with a bow like usual. Diplomatic Immunity was a fun quest, if only because you get to shoot Thalmor.

^ Ah, the Thalmor - those guys are a pleasure to tear apart
To be fair though, I do enjoy killing anything and everything that crosses my path, but I take great pleasure from killing a Thalmor justicar team without feeling any guilt whatsoever. Not so arrogant when they're dead...

Not if you throw them in a river. Out of sight, out of mind, after all.
Out of interest, what's the favourite destruction magic element, shock, ice or fire?
I prefer fire, myself, when I'm fooling about as a warmage, I love the smell of burning elf in the morning

I have max resistance to all magic and it can still feth me over too. I'm level 50-something, i'm resistance to basically everything, I eat any mob for breakfast/dragon for lunch/another few for dinner, and yet a measly ice mage or necromancer can hurl this thing at me and it'll hit like a truck.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Shock is pretty coo-ABSOLUTE POWAAAAAH!!!
*ahem*. Sorry about that.
Anyways, I find that I use Fire a whole bunch, simply because it seems like it outranges the others, at least at lower levels. Shock's very useful as well, when you have a boatload of Magicka, and you can use it to drain enemy mages enough that they'll be powerless for a while. Cold, I guess, would be helpful against Melee combatants, but as most of them are either Nord or resistant to Frost anyways, you may as well use Fire for its DoT effect.

Im partial to shock. Dont people know by now that their swords conduct electricity?
As a side note, im hunting dragon priests now. Fun to collect all their masks from their beaten bodies, and a nice challenge.
All those against Sithis and the night mother may find themselves in a sudden and lethal prediciment as well.

GAH! Not killing got the better of me. While trying to not step on butterflies something in my brain snapped and I just couldnt stand not killing things. So I made a super criminal donkey-cave killer guy, and made good and sure to make him a werewolf. So far, Solitude says they will pay someone 25k gold to bring me to justice. Im not sure exactly how high my total bounty is, but its pretty fething high. I just slaughter things and laugh about it. So I joined the DB again, and figured, instead of being a subtle assassin, Ill fething slaughter an entire family, 6 guards and a puppy on the way out of a job. That way people wont think it was an assassination, it was some poor sap that got in the way of the big scary Werewolf.
So far, its rather satisfying

Ive used freeze form more then a few times, its great for thinning out groups. But on my super sissy "I cant kill anything" mage, I use the one that makes enemies Flee, that thing is handy, lure a group into a narrow hallway, and shout them all away.
