Guess it's because you mostly use it as dedicated transport for Elites (mainly Banshees).

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

They are a dedicated transport for almost everything, not elites. Its just because there is no dedicated transport section on the site.

Yeah, it is a little strange. Every other army has their dedicated transports in either Troops or an actual Dedicated Transports section.

I have no logical explanation for it.

Well, in a footdar force, you're most likely not running a single WS.

In a mechdar force, you'll have 2-3 in troops for DA/Storm Guardians. You'll mostly only see 1 in Elites (transporting Fire Dragons), and the occasional rare player using a 2nd for Banshees.

The only explanation I can come up with is that in the Codex, the WS is on a page with Elites (p 63)

+1. To say that something 'usually' happens in regard to playstyle and listbuilding in 40k is a gross exaggeration.
