Greets and all that,
I am an old hand at
RPGs but brand spankin' new at wargames. I have always had an interest in the aesthetics of warhammer minis, but have only recently decided to take the plunge into the hobby. I have read the
WH40k core as well as the TAU, Space Marine, and Blood Angel codices but have yet to actually play. To that end, my knowledge of
40k is limited as well as theoretical. I am currently building a TAU army. The core of it is 2
NOS TAU boxed sets, but i also have a large(ish) amount of hideously constructed/painted models i am attempting to rescue into something playable. I am also finding myself compelled to start a second army of Space Marines (probably Blood Angels), preferably one with lots of Dreadnoughts, as i freaking love that unit! Most of my unit choices are based on aesthetics and fluff, but I am learning tactica where i can so that my choices can be playable. Any advice from
SM or
SM:
BA players for making a competitive dread heavy force is always welcome as is any tactical advice for the greater good
On a semi-related note, i am also building an Orks n Gobbos Fantasy army. Viva la Waaaaaaaaaaaghhh!
