so how does rolling for initiative work for jotww say the person im play has an initiative of 4 does he have to roll higher than a 4 or match his 4 or what cause me and my friend were confused with it

Whenever you are asked to test on a characteristic other than ld, you roll a D6 and try to roll equal or less than the number on the profile. A 6 is always a failure.
