Hello, all.

While looking for information on Space Marine conversions and tactics, I came across your website multiple times. Every time I saw a thread on Dakka Dakka, people were quick to answer the original poster's question - and, what's more, they gave accurate and polite advice. I figure that if I'm going to get help building an army, painting it, actually playing against someone or just idly debating points of contention in the fluff, I could do a lot worse than Dakka Dakka.

I'm new to wargaming. Actually, that's not technically true; one day in high school, my history teacher forced us to play with plastic boats and tanks for course credit. I crashed my ship into my teammate's, got our sails fouled and ended up sinking both of us. And during the tank battle, it was a re-enactment of a battle in the second World War, and since I was playing the Americans my tanks got turned into piles of junk a mekboy would think of as inspired. But I digress. What I mean to say is that I'm new enough to wargaming that if you've got any advice on how to play Space Marines - especially Space Marines of the shooty, taktikool variety - then please, advise away. God-Emperor knows I'll need it.

Thank you, and have a pleasant day.

Welcome to Dakka, and welcome to wargaming!

Do a quick search and I am sure you will find all kinds of space marine tactics and whatnot. Just remember, play the game how you want to play it, not the way some guy in another country tells you too!

Welcome to dakka!

If I could offer any advice it would troll the tactic's subforum as there is plenty of ideas etc in there which should help you out.

Hey and welcome.

For shooty armies I like vindicators, and obviously devastators are a good choice to add anti-tank if your missing that or anti-infantry if your missing that, depends on what you give 'em.

I play:
Imperial Fists - 9000 pts
Tyranids - 1500 pts

GENERATION 9: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.
