If Eldar is your main Army, what craftworld did you paint them in the colors of?

I am thinking of doing some as Biel-tan, since I seem to have a green thing going on between SM, Eldar, and da Boyz.

I made my own craftworld because I'm uncreative. Named the same as my handle. Main color is tan made out of a mix of shining gold and chaos black, and the secondary color is red gore. I think it looks rather nice. Liche purple witchblades, generally aspect colored aspects.

I originally didn't like Beil-tan's color scheme, but have grown to think it's quite cool, especially if the white highlighting has been done well (so you have the dark crevices).

I went for beil-tan. It forced me to try and learn to paint better, and gave a fluffy reason for using lots of aspect warriors, still not sure what to do about sorting out the white parts of my paint jobs but I'm happy with the rest.

I painted this Cobra up in the colours a couple of years ago but still haven't done much to it. I cant think of what to do to make the white look right, and i dont want to do the gem stones till i've sorted that out, some people suggested sepia but it hasn't worked in experiments yet

We love what we love. Reason does not enter into it. In many ways, unwise love is the truest love. Anyone can love a thing because. That's as easy as putting a penny in your pocket. But to love something despite. To know the flaws and love them too. That is rare and pure and perfect.

I've only painted my aspects so far, but I was looking to go against the norm.
I will try Bronzed Flesh against Dark Angel Green, I think. Maybe Snakebite Leather and Scorpion Green, with purple gems.
The bright colours will be left for the Aspects, and the less garish scheme for the others.

It looks OK on Dawn of War 2, but I've yet to try it in paint.

I don't really have a main army, but Eldar is one of my 3 favorite ones. I paint them Ulthwe, just because its easier to paint black and I don't really get much time for painting.

Iyanden, although my current Troops are Yriel Raiders, which when done will be the black with yellow tiger stripe pattern from the Rogue Trader 40K Compedium.

The main Craftworld is going to be Iyanden though, Plan on getting a Wraithseer asap. The only shame is I have no Wraithguard as the price at the moment is a bit high, and the idea of dealing with ten of those metal monsters does my nut in.

Hoping for 3 plastic in a box, whenever GW feels generous enough to give us some more models.

Made my own craftworld up called, Aurum. Colours being White/grey for warriors, blue for the seers and orange for the craftworld itself. The colours get brighter (to an extent, no fluro Eldars for me ) depending on their rank. The leaders will always have gold/bronze/copper (again depending on their rank) somewhere on their armour in addition.

Right now, their all shiny metal... but they were Alaitoc, that was less color scheme and more I like the army back in whatever edition Craftworld Eldar was a codex in. They will most likely get painted up in that color again though to be honest when ever I get around to em (if I don't sell em off)

I've had good results with a VERY thinned, watered-down Asumen Blue wash to add depth to my clean white. That's for the wings on my new BA. I think it might work even better for your Biel-tan. Blue will be complementary with your green. Err on the side of lighter/less color to start. You can always add more.

On that same topic, I've seen good results using really, really, really, really, really watered down Shadow Grey applied as a 'wash'.

I second Mannahnin on using Asumen blue, obsidianaura (Was going to suggest it myself, ninja'd). If you want to add some depth to a clean, white surface do a watered down wash of Asumen, and then blend/highlight... blending the thin wash into thin white paint is very easy and gives lovely results. If you do it right, the white shouldn't look too blue at all (darkest parts look a bit like GW Shadow Grey).

I've been using this to add depth and shading on my Tallarn's headdresses and cloaks. Some early results are in my gallery, although the white came out a bit too bright in the photos (need to work on my photography, heh).

Lovely tanks, btw!

I based my scheme off of Saim-Hann, but with more black elements than the codex version.

I've considered going back and re-doing it Biel'Tan, but the task seems a little daunting. Every time I try and picture myself repainting all 80+ guardians alone I get discouraged.

I do Biel-Tan. Nothing like the sight of horribly mangled white armour. Of course, when I get better I'll be painting them better.
