Hopefully it is chaos and the bits fit into my army. Then again, i hope that matt ward had nothing to do with the fluff and robin cruddycrap had nothing to do with the rules. With my luck they both did and chaos will be as bit a wash as the nids were.

honestly though i hope they do this right.

Oh, this is good. Very good.

Hopefully the new version has been extensively play tested and very well edited. I will be ordering this thing as soon as possible from the FLGS which I regularly get things.

So, there is another thread on Dakka about some leaked rules from 6th but I noticed the thread is locked. I looked at the supposed "leaked" rules and came to the conclusion that these "leaked" rules look exactly like the pancake edition. But, I thought I remember hearing a while ago that the pancake edition was confirmed as fake. Why are these rules cropping up again as leaked 6th edition rules?

Pancake = leaked. They are one and the same.
When I say "leaked" i of course mean, they are thought to be leaked.

I agree, but that is mostly over distrust of the new rules.

does anyone know the forces for the new starter set? I know that everyone is saying CSM vs. SM but at my FLGS people are saying eldar vs. CSM I just don't want to read 12 pages of things about the rulebook. Thanks

Dark Angels are fairly solidly confirmed, thanks to them being included in the new Paint set, which has historically mirrored the starter set.

The other army is still up in the air. There was a rumour that it would be Chaos (cultists and a few marines, rather than CSM specifically) but no idea how solid that is.

While I want the starter set to be chaos, my gut feeling is saying it won't be

It probably is chaos, pretty much every source about points towards chaos. I'm just saying that my gut feeling is that it would be Eldar.

Space Marines vs Spikey Space Marines would be the worst starter box ever. I play Space Marines and I still think this is slowed.

Dark Angels vs Eldar would be way better. Eldar need an update like yesterday.

Hastings said, it is Dark Angels (sculpted like Dark Angels) against Chaos (including non-power-armoured cultists and maybe a dreadnought). Now let's not waste time with unfounded wishlisting about what armies you would like to have in the starter.

I'd buy it if it were anything but eldar, I have no interest in them ever since I bought my first box which happened to be Dire avengers and the kit didn't come with any freaking extra detail bits which is why I bought them in the first place.
