Hmmm yeah, these look like generic randos, more 'useful' than interesting, I guess. That market kit, though, I think that's the most fun thing GW has produced in a while, just because it's so simple but still super atmospheric.

Don't have any Necro stuff but both kits & the little 'city scene' on the market box make me wonder how the rules would work for something more RPG-like? (not that I'd manage to get an RPG group running anywhere soon, LOL)

Well, one can do Necromunda with more of an RPG bent. Just need NPC antagonists for the gangs to have to side with or deal with.

I love the market. GW should do more atmospheric terrain kits like this. Definite buy unless the price is more obscene than even I can imagine.

I like the new gangers, too, even if I look at them as bits for conversions mostly. I can find a use for unaffiliated civilian dudes and lower end weaponry just fine.

Nehekhara lives! Sort of!

What kind of guns are on display in the market?

Market was unexpected but much appreciated.

They only work for that if there are some unarmed hands. If not Medge Broken or Stargrave Crews might be a better pick.

Oh and the vases are no doubt Mung Vases from the classic game.

ooooooooooooooh

Looks like they're not glued down to the table (they're facing the opposite direction on the other table, and the dual knife is seen elsewhere). Looking forward to the conversions

Cool, that's what I've been thinking. Guess I can still resist for a couple of more months but ... :p

Anyway! After a closer look at the market kit this seems quite versatile - the stalls can be either assembled with a back wall, or attached to the Zone M. walls - there's one of the larger back walls/screens standing on its own on the top left of the box pic. Also, the weapon rack looks like it can stand vertically on its own, too, as a barricade?

Market is ok, gang is disappointingly dull (unless the book contains a whole bunch of surprises)

My campaign is going to cover the discovery of a new dome, the establishment of a new settlement, and the trials and tribulations thereof. So lots of RPG elements as we return to that settlement campaign after campaign.

Finally, after 25 years we get a miniature for the Mung Vase! (and what could be Isotropic Fuel Rods too.)

As well as making an Outcast gang with them, this new kit could be used for making 40k civvies if you replace the guns with tools; there's scenarios in 40k, Kill Team and Necromunda that can use non-combatants. They'd also work well as various Hangers-on, especially if you have some other spare bits (for example, the over-the-shoulder medi-pack from the Krieg veterans can be used to make one of these guys into a Rogue Doc). And depending on how compatible these models are with the Genestealer cultists, Skitarii and Astra Militarum, you could use them to make Brood Brother squads and Chaos cultists.

You say "hair gel", others might say "viscous toxic waste".

Hair wax, gel or pomade are pretty simple product dated back to the ancient age and are really nothing in comparison to deadly toxin, performance enhancing drug and genetic modification.

I find it hilarious that the old Delaque minis make a better Oucast gang than the previewed Outcast sprues.

May have no pick up more "non Oldcromunda Delaque" minis to flesh out my collection enough to play Outcasts.

Dapper D'aans lay flat...don't ask where it came from...you don't wanna know!

I like the outsiders, hopefully when we get a look at the sprue if it'll have a ton of options.

No sign of a leader type or heavy, so maybe there is a bunch load of options we've not seen yet/

Clearly you didn't watch the Kill team previews! Or seen the build instructions for Krieg guardsmen.

There's been a jump in what they think they can do.

It's necromunda made by specialist studio, not Killteam made by GW 40k studio. The budget allowance is different and so far it hasn't change for gang release kit. All the weapons shown are pretty much what a Hive scum can get, and whoever assembled these miniatures certainly is doing a bad job if there'e more bits to show off. Best thing to look forward is other hand version of weapon or the missing 3 CC weapons, which are the worst cc weapons in the game, so you aren't missing out much without these.

Woo. Lets paint another 8 caucasian skinned models, because in the 41st Millenia, there's no diversity in the billions upon billions of human beings.

Seriously, its time GW addressed that.

A bit of everything really....... Titanicus, Bolt Action, Cruel Seas, Black Seas, Blood Red Skies, Kingdom Death, Relic Knights, DUST Tactics, Zombicide the lit goes on.............

Try looking at every gang except Delaque for skin tone diverse paint jobs.

The new Black Templars squad had a black dude in it.
The new Khorne Bloodbowl team has black dudes in it.
The new Sisters Killteam has a black chick in it.

Feels like you're being a bit dishonest with your complaining

Paint the models however you’d like. GW doesn’t have to address anything.

No, it’s not. It’s made by the team in the main GW studio who make Underworlds and Warcry iirc. Specialist Games are Forge World.

I think the best thing about Outlaws for me is that it seems ripe for just making your own minis. So a mix of GSC, Cultists, other gangers etc. This set of minis, combined with other bits could really open some very cool looking gangs, more so than the current houses where you are locked in with a certain "look"?

Book of the Outcast Breakdown
Talking of Wyrds, the Book of the Outcast includes a major update allowing you to unleash psychic powers across the underhive. There are now seven disciplines that give you plenty of options when it comes to choosing which variety of mind bullets you want to unleash on your enemies.

Psykers not your style? Why not add an Underhive Trader to your roster? This is a new kind of Hanger-on available to any gang.

Special shoutout for MDG:

As well as gang-specific tactics, scenarios, and dramatis personae, the Book of the Outcast features a new Outlanders campaign. This is a new narrative campaign that sees your Outlaw gang try to create a functioning settlement within the ruins that they find themselves in. Will you take your place among the settlements of the hive, or will you be crushed beneath the boot of Lord Helmawr?

This is just a taste of the Book of the Outcast, which includes a plethora of new options that can add even more depth to your Necromunda games and campaigns. We’ll have more information on the book soon, along with a detailed look at the new Underhive Outcasts Gang and the Underhive Market kit. In the meantime, join us over on the Necromunda Facebook page to let us know what your outcast gang backstory will be.

So, as I guessed, this is an easier way to use all of those cool FW characters on the tabletop. Sounds fun though!
