The inevitable is near again this year , by the end of this month there will be another price adjustment.
For the ones not quitting but preparing , what are some of the items everyone is stocking up for their armies?

For me , Im Canadian , im torn between 3 things that i cant make up my mind about ( due to the weird pricing GW come up with )

a) Order from Canadian shop that still has the cheaper Tomb King Battalion
or
b) Order from The War Store that has better price for Special / Elite Units due to USA pricing
or
c) Order from Maelstrom with their 18% off , and better price for majority of the Core / Troop Unit pricing.

What items will you have ? xD

Not sure...I keep going out and grabbing deals off ebay.

I'm enticed by my extremely close proximity to the Warstore (i.e. a 20-25 minute drive), but I also have Men At Arms hobby in the opposite direction, the place where a young Neal once dreamed of opening up his own store...

Nothing, really. I have way to much stuff left to paint anyway, and a panic purchase won´t really do anything but to spend money needlessly.

I´ll stop my GW purchases until I have finished painting my other GW stuff and have a few useable WarmaHordes armies.

I've just made my last GW purchase.

Grey Knight NDK.

My GK army is at 4000pts (and can borrow land raiders and dreadnoughts from my SM army if needed) and is finished (I have enough models to do a regular army with different unit choices. I have no intention of ever doing a pure "x unit" army (like purifiers or whatever), so it's fine by me.

My SM army has been done for a few years, as has my eldar. My IG is a work in progress, but I have ALL the units I need, I just have to build them.

I will not be starting another 40k army or any WHFB armies.

Nothing. I recently got 2 Sphinx and a box of snake surfers. I don't need any more kits for my existing armies, thankfully. If I could afford it I'd buy a whole Dark Eldar army but that won't be happening any time soon.

Just got AoBR for cheap, which is ironic in two senses. Will probably never get to expand my 500-points Eldar army until prices go down, so nothing for them.

Brand new 2500 point GK list.

The rest of my goblin army. The price jump would only be around $20, but I would rather use that $20 on something not-GW.

I was trying to check some of the prices on GW's website (compare to the price jump). Is anyone else having issue viewing their site? Half of the scripts on the site aren't running and products don't have a price (i.e. Imperial Guard Cadian Battleforce is showing basic information, and I had to google search to get to the page, since navigating GW's site is next to impossible for me atm... is anyone else having this issue?

It looks like their site was probably attacked. There's a thread about it going in the news section.

Yeh, I was converting Immolators as well, but always wanted to get the real thing even though it's $100.

I want to get a box of Mandrakes. Don't play Dark Eldar, and I don't think I'd use a unit of these even if I did, but they're awesome figs and I've been wanting one. Lately I've decided it would make a good themed Skarlock for one of my Warmachine casters.

After that, I might get the new Necrons when they come out. We'll see.

The rest of my Grey Knights. MOR TERMINATORS PLOX. And another Nemesis Dreadkight.

No panic purchases for me, thanks. I've got enough stuff in boxes waiting to be built to last a while. This price rise is just the incentive I need to start building.

Maybe some hellions just in case I ever want to use them.

I've needed 20 assault marines to complete my battle company for 2 years now, but see no pressing need to buy them. I can easily afford them, but considering how much 40k I play, in my mind, it is exceedingly bad value.

Just bought myself, 2 landspeeders, tactical squad, rhino, dreadnought, multiple paints, bitz parts.....just not from a gw store!

Anyway,

My last purchase will probably be some aegis defense lines for the autocannon bits (they look good on dreadnoughts, better than the cadian weapon team autocannons). I'm also thinking about purchasing another dreadnought or repainting the one I have for my space wolves to GKs colors. That particular dread proxies for bjorn anyway, and bjorn is a 'meh' character to me.

I also bought a GKs deal on ebay and a 3 stormraven pack on ebay too so those are part of my final purchases for a long time.

Also, I need some inquisitor proxies. Anyone have an idea of how to make some from IG kits?

!@#$ them. Don't buy anything, and let them feel some love for a quarter. I mean everyone. Just stop buying anything new and do the right thing when someone !@@$'s with you.

We should just call it and see how they think to justify that, because the B.S. flag is thrown on the play.

When they have to start making the stone hard calls like the rest of us have been, they'll figure it out quick and stop trying to play games with the customer.

Well, nothing here. Made a personal vow to complete at least some of the stuff I have before I decided to buy more, and so far I paint so slow and game so little brely anything's getting done. So I have time.

If I did want something before Christmas, I'll find it on a 3rd party site.

Just purchased about 12 paints, Cadian Battleforce, 2 LR Demolisher from GC Minis, and A Cadian Command Squad and Commissar from FW.

Debating on whether or not to buy some Dark Eldar, though knowing me I'll likely wait to the next year on that.

Well...I likely wont be able to buy anything before the end of the month. However, the few things I want arent getting increases, so no worries.

I owe nothing to GW, but it would be remiss of me not to take part in the final Maelstrom sale that people of my country are allowed to take part in (feth you GW!).

So I will purchase a number of items - gap fill my 'Nids and Chaos with a few things I've been meaning to get for years but never got around to (Chaos Bikes, another pair of Carnifexes, the Chaos Temple terrain kit, etc.) plus a few new things that I simply refuse to pay Oz retail for (Bloodcrushers!).

It will be a big purchase, but it will be the last one, for Maelstrom's sake and for all the good work they've done over the years.
