Well. I've done it. The final Maelstrom order. It's through. I put my thoughts on the current situation and some final thank you notes down in their little 'comment' section of the order process. Even got a thank you E-mail back from them. *awwwwww* Anyway, I ordered: 3 Bloodcrusher boxes 8 Chaos Bikers (I've been holding onto spare Berzerker parts to make Khornate bikers for nearly 2 years - it's time to make 'em!) 2 Possessed CSM boxes (I have 6 spare sets of wings, so now I can do a 10-man unit all with wings!) 1 Daemon Prince (always wanted one of the plastic ones) 1 Devastator Box 1 Temple of Skulls (always liked that terrain piece, so might as well get it now before it more than doubles in price) 2 Carnifexes 1 Trygon (to make into a Mawloc) And that's it. Combined with the Arvus Lighter I ordered the other week, that's me done with GW for the foreseeable future. May their contemptible and corrupt company burn to the ground.  And another thanks to Maelstrom for years of dedicated service. We will miss you.

The Temple of Skulls is a cool piece of terrain that I don't see enough people using - my brother got me one as a wedding present
Also, I am sure that MG are sorry to see you go HBMC - they might have to cancel their plans for purchasing a yacht

My youngest is nagging me for Canis Wolfborn as a Christmas present. (Yeah..... I know.)
I either buy it this w/e or I get him a giant teddy bear instead and assume he won't be able to tell the difference...
Difficult decision.

teddy bears don't have enough skulls and spikes on them...
I have decided, however, that despite the price rises I will continue to buy only two items from GW, and that is PAINTS and BRUSHES, why? because I like GWs paints (particularly the foundations & metallics) and the brushes are of an acceptable quality for my skill level (there is no point in buying a windsor & newton when you can only do basic highlights, drybrushing and edge highlighting)

Well I had planned on buying another company of IG models.
However if they go up to $10 less than a space marine squad they're not worth it.
Tonight I ordered 9 valkyries for my IG and that is the last bit of money GW will get for my IG.
I would have purchased tons more, but it's coming to an end.

I will continue to purchase from GW, i don't have a horde of mini's although i could play with the orks and marines i have but i really want a DE force. However i will build that army a lot slower than i'd like. One good thing though with the FLGS that i go too, each purchase of anything from the store gets you points that leads to discounts so that helps. It'll be nice to buy my hordes minis and use the points for GW stuff or for anything for that matter.

I already made 2 purchases Friday, a Tomb Kings book and a Land Raider Crusader.
Only other thing I want to buy before the hike is a predator. I might also pick up 2 Cadian battleforces and maybe a valk or 3.
If I do purchase this it will all be from the FLGS. I may hold off on the valks and buy them online to save some money.
Also I will be picking up some more Cygnar, but that has nothing to do with the price hikes of GW, just helping the FLGS with getting more games going. Same reason why I am starting WHFB.

Well the timing for it could not have been worse, since I had just used the money I could spend on three rhinos which came in ( thanks Wayland).
I very well might not be able to get something before the month ends because there was almost no warning of this, the rumours had circulated just a few days after I had bought the rhinos and I didn't expect even GW to do such a stupid move.

I am buying a box of Gargoyles and a box of Raveners (from Maelstrom) to top off my Tyranid army.
I shan't be buying any of the official GW models for the Tervigon, Tyrannofex and Mycetic Spore, as I have already arranged alternatives.

I was going to start a Dark Eldar and Angry Marines army, but with the news of the price hike, I'll be picking up a full Ambush Alley set for the price of 3 Marine squads.
Maybe one day when prices go down or I have more disposable income I'll return...

Nothing at the moment. Price hike wont affect me as I mostly trade, although buy cheaply either ebay or one or two other places.
Sadly I live in NY, but not near the warstore, so its not "cheap" for me(IE I have to pay sales tax) so the warstore is out.

I bought a Space Marine Battleforce before it goes up in price, it's been one of the best values for a while. Had a few pounds of cashback to spend before I'm restricted from buying from Maelstrom so I got it for about 30% off the US retail.
The only other kits I still need to flesh out my army aren't increasing in price, so I'm not sweating that just yet. May pick up a Predator before next weekend though.
