Making a large purchase, then probably nothing for a year or more.

Picking up via advance order:

4 Venoms
4 boxes of Scourges
3 Talos/Cronos
3 Razorwings (if they indeed do go to advance order before the price hike)

In order to mitigate some of the already high cost, I'll be ordering through Miniature Market for 25% off retail.

I've been getting my minis via ebay and swap shops for some time now,so I don't know that I'll be making any "final" GW purchases at all.
I do know that once I've completed my current army I'm done with GW as a whole.

Sadly, I think I made it just the other day - I'd gone out and picked up the DE codex as a prelude to getting a few of the new DE kits that are going to be coming out/were released recently, only to come home and find out about the gakstorm that they're pulling. Haven't touched it since, and I'm tempted to return it. As tempted as I was to start a DE army, I can't see myself buying any more GW items, which is really a shame.

I too had been considering building a DE army,I honestly love the new range of minis and DE were my first 40k army...so there was a bit of a "nostalgia" element involved as well,but now...no way.

Already bought a bunch of stuff, but I'll probably do the last few purchases to complete the Krieg army I'm planning on doing all at once now, rather than waiting a few months for my last purchases. Essentially, just 2 more basilisks and a codex.

I've also recently bought 6 Chimeras (ebay), 4 Krieg squads, and a Manticore (maelstrom). Not sure if I'll be getting the above from Maelstrom yet, one of the LGS is having a fairly sweet deal right now, where if you buy two boxes, you get the second half-off.

Either way, all of this'll be my last purchases for tabletop gaming for the rest of the year, and possibly my last purchases from GW period. They're just getting too hard to keep up with lately.

I'm not sure if this price hike is hitting the UK, may have to go to the local GW and ask around, but if it does I will no longer be purchasing 'new in box' models from GW.

I will purchase from maelstrom/dark sphere, my last new purchases will probably be a box of savage orcs and some 40K ork boyz to make a mob of madboyz+wierdboy. Otherwise I have enough crap for my orks to keep me going for years, plus 1000pts of skaven to work through...

As for non-GW purchases, getting a rather sweet deal from a friend for a Dystopian Wars EotBS starter fleet and rulebook.

The gaming aspect of my hobby has really taken a hammering recently, and there are no FLGS within a decent range of my location (we have 3 GWs, but only independant retailer is ~1hr train ride). So I am probably just going to just start buying models I think are cool and painting them. I'm really loving the Warmahordes Minions models (particularly the Warhog!)

Fortunately other than those there isn't a lot on my current to-buy list that is in for a raise.

A couple boxes of black orcs and/or night goblins. The price hike is only hitting a few models in my newly budding orc army (not worrying about wolf riders yet), but enough is finally enough- that's it. Gonna trade/sell my Chosen of Chaos on bartertown (same name over there if you want to search for them) and just keep the monster chaos army I have for fun and my orcs and 40k armies. I was planning on starting a Necron army and/or an inquisition army depending on how the 'Cron book looked, but I can't pay these prices. I got into the game with a serious love for it, but I can't justify the price anymore. How is Malifaux as a company? One of my buddies and I were thinking about getting into it? Also, how strong are Mantic's rules?

Besides the DE preorder, I finished off getting the stuff for my BA/Chaos army. I don't recall if Razorbacks, Land Speeders, or Stormravens were affected, but I know the Chaos squads were.

Tho what is affected that I'll stock up on are cans of Chaos Black spray primer.

I won't be ordering anything because I can't afford anything. I would love a Dark Eldar army but the circus freaks of doom, my Wracks & Grotesques I REALLY would like have not been released.

It's a double blow for me - I can't afford the things that haven't been released. Today is not a good day

Nothing directly. Might look to save up for necron battleforce or two from a discounter when the new codex is confirmed to avoid a rush for warriors/the new battleforce which will no doubt feature less models at a higher price.

but decided to start my self imposed "no more buying" from the end of the month (with the price hike)

Basically just going to plug a couple of gaps. Few Wyches, couple of tomb king bits and a single chaos model Ive been after, nothing to expensive or no big orders.

Hence why I'm now playing skirmish games and small scale INQ.

Possibly another 'nid battleforce. I need to go through my "unbuilt on sprue" boxes and figure out how many gaunts I've actually got first. If I'm short, I'll take advantage of the Maelstrom offer and just get another battleforce as it'll probably work out cheaper all in. Mind you, the last thing I need are any more 'stealers...

Might also stick in a preorder for the DE battleforce and a bunch of wyches. Would like to get a wych cult built and painted by the end of the year.

I want to get another Ork Battleforce. Doubt I can afford it before the end of the month though so I'll either bite the bullet with the rise or not bother, see how I feel.

Personally I don't need to justify my spending, I have no debt and spend on what I can afford.
I still buy petrol and still drive around in a car that does just 15 mpg. I still pay the recent 5% VAT hike on pretty much everything. I still pay for gas and electricity.

Quit giving them support, it's the only thing they understand.

Seriously, you want us to spoil our own entertainment in the million to one chance that a big company will care?
No I don't like the price hike. I may or may not buy from GW, I just buy what I like from what I can afford. But I'm personally not going to spite myself over this.

I may be tempted to buy something from FW that I have wanted for a while, but that is not certain and it is a single item.

GW will not see another penny out of me (I haven't actually bought anything new from GW for over a year anyway)
