The origins of the Stig Marine are indeed mysterious and controversial. Little is known of the Stig Marine’s origins and most of what is known is under intense speculation and doubt by an arrange of Imperial scholars. Some stories suggest that the Stig Marine is infact the lost Spear of Macragge from the age of the Horus Heresy, who, while traveling on-route to Holy Terra, was lost (or considered lost) in the Warp. Other scholars claim that infact the Stig Marine is one of the lost Primarchs, who, after centuries, has resurfaced. These theories are usually seen as absolute dribble but who knows, in a galaxy where time-fluxes are a common occurrence, could such a story be far from the truth?
A vehicle in the hands of the Stig Marine becomes one of the most powerful weapons an Imperial commander could have at his disposal and who could blame him? During the heat of battle, wherever the Stig Marine drives, death and destruction follow. In fact it is know by many Imperial scholars that, at the battle of Pendulum Fields, the Stig Marine faced off, alone, against 100 Chaos Predator battle-tanks of the Iron Warriors Legion with little more then a Rhino APC. Through some twist of fate, the Stig Marine emerged victorious, despite being out-manned and out-gunned considerably. It is for this reason that the Stig Marine is seen as the ideal unit which a Imperial commander could use to ensure a quick, decisive, and hopefully note-worthy, victory. The Stig Marine however, is much more interested in seeing if he can beat Barichello’s time in a Rhino.
This was one of my commissioned pieces in my collection which, at the time, I had entered into a "Character Creation" competition on a different forum. The competition had contestants make an original, 40k-rule compatible special character with a short piece of fluff for added effect. Having been inspired by both the, some-what known, "Stig Marine" motivational picture and a set of experimental rules found on BOLS, I set about making "He Who Doesn't Speak" in miniature form. Too my surprise though, despite an array of far better painted and even more creative entries, I managed to gain enough votes to bag second place. Goes to show the ultimate power of BBC's original programming.

Haha, very nice idea. I really like the creativity of it. The only feedback I can give is that the white looks thick to me, though it could be my phone screen.

You are absolutely right about the white, though in person the white looks "tabletop worthy", to say the least. I mean don't get me wrong, I was really surprised when people actually voted for this piece, especially considering that there where some extremely good paint jobs displayed during the competition.
