Hello there, Dakka!

I started playing 40k back on the good old days of 2nd ed. but quitted not long after 4th edition was released. However, a year ago the 40k bug bit me again and resumed work on the (small, poorly painted, mostly obsolete) Blood Axe ork army that sat collecting dust on my parents' basement since 1998. I also have a sizeable Tau force, in far better conditions, though the talks of a coming new codex have made me postpone any work on it (for two years... and counting?).

Anyways, back to the orks. Given that most of the minis were a) damaged beyond repair (sadly, all of my warbuggies and most of my metal lootas have gone straight to the bits bin) b) ugly as hell (2nd ed plastic orkses and grots... ugh) c) not viable choices anymore (erm... small-base Ghaz, melta-wielding orks, looted SM tanks

), the process of rebuilding my ork waaagh has taken longer (and costed waaaay more) than expected. Good I had Dakka by my side to guide me through the tough choices... Warbikers yay or nay? Should I convert these rhinos into looted wagons or ebay them away and save for a boatload of trukks?

So, after a long time lurking Dakka for inspiration and advice I've finally decided to join and (hopefully) share some of my tactics, wargaming experiences and absurdly encyclopedic views on the fluff with you dakkanauts
