Welcome to DakkaDakka!
You can look for Tryanid and Ork lists in the 40k army list section (link below).

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Get weapons with long range and high strength to "dismantle" Tau vehicles. Also get long range template weapons to take out loitering Fire Warriors near said vehicles.

Don't poke the sleeping squiggoth, he might get cranky.

Welcome to Dakka

I would think that infiltrating/outflanking Genestealers would be great against Tau, allowing you to take out the heavies at the back (i.e Broadsides) or just rip through Fire Warriors before they get a chance to vaporise you with their Pulse Rifles.

I've been thinking about trying a fast hitting, infiltrating, deep striking 'nid army but I just haven't got around to it.

Tyranids - 1500 pts

Biotitans are fun to stomp on ork boyz with, too!
If you don't happen to be a millionaire, then a tyrannofex would be great against a unit of power armor nobz or really any vehicle you can get from the side or rear (prefereably if its a Space Marine one)
More warriors will help, from firsthand expirience.

And Tau hammerheads are great targets for a stationary Ork stompa.
