So, next week we'll see the new Storm Of Magic expansion to Warhammer Fantasy. What are your plans for your army?
I've already ordered a Manticore that I'm going to convert into a nasty skaven moulder thing! And I'm probably going to make a lot of other skaven conversions.
This expansion has pretty much brought me back to fantasy lol.

So what's your plans?

1. Buy Chaos Manticore.
2. Use it as general for Warriors of Chaos army.
3. ????
4. PROFIT!

2. Put high elf dood on it.
3. look at pretty dragon.
4.run dual dragons.
5 Profit!

Revive my Beastmen/WoC army, what with the new pact system, and never look back.

It doesn't look all that appealing to me really, but I guess I will have to try it first before I make my final opinion.

Anyhoo, my plan is to buy the Necromancer and ignore the rest completely.

Nothing. This expansion is all fine for races like WoC, Beastmen, OnG, Daemons, etc. But i don't understand WHY the empire or dwarfs would be utilizing creatures of chaos.

I do like the manticore model though, looks a lot better then i what i imagined it might look like.

1)Preorder Book and Cards(COMPLETE!)
2)Get a IoB Griffon(or 2) and convert into Cockatrice
3)See what looks cool in the Storm of Magic book(ie packs of Cold Ones or Sabertusks, etc)
4)Preorder actual Cockatrice(stupid thing not getting released until two weeks later!)
5)Enjoy

Yes on GW they said you can make a pact with VC Tomb Kings or Daemons, nothing about other armies

Anyway my plan, WOC, i used to play them always wanted to buy them back, think i will otherwise i will just play m HE and Lizards

I'm debating on getting the book or getting stuff for my million armies that need filling out. Otherwise:

1. Get DE Sorceress & be happy I never went for the 80's shoulderpad model.
2. Figure out fluff justification for Lamasu hanging around Lizardmen.
3. Patiently wait for Fimir and/or other crazy monsters.

Here is my plan-
1. Get book, sorcerers of chaos, cards, Chaos battalion(and chaos armybook)
2. Assemble all the stuff the night i get it, paint it for the campaign i am playing in(not paint it the night i get it)
3. Be awesome in storm of magic and in the campaign

If i dont get WOC then i will play my lizards or elves

I hear some minor guy in the Empire fluff called Karl Franz likes monsters. I hear he keeps them in this big pen. A... zoo-like pen. I hear he also likes to ride around on a monster too.

Bad attempt at sarcasm aside, it's not only creatures of Chaos in the bestiary. There's Hippogryffs, Pegasus, Unicorns and other non-Chaos creatures can be brough as non-mount creatures with the scroll of binding. Hell, bring a Stegadon! It's hardly a creature of Chaos. Say it's from the zoo on loan.

Dwarves I agree with. There's no much fluff to support them using monsters in war. In fact, they have a bunch of guys dedicated to killing monsters.

I'll be buying absolutely nothing from it.

The monsters are truely fugly (the cockatrice is a notable exception, and the black dragon is nice but will be a bugger to hide with TLOS)
The chimera is awful.

The rules expand on the one section of the game with almost universal negativity towards it (overpowered spells and magic)


Personally I'd have much preferred 1 monster/chariot/warmachine for every race as a splash release OR another army book and minis released. Heaven knows they are slow enough with releases without these distracting add ons.

I really hate what they're doing to Warhammer at the moment. It's like Star Wars Episodes I-III all over again.

Are you kidding? His cannon are going to have a bloody field day if wizards on fulcrums count as being in buildings. D6 S10 hits that cause D6 wounds each? I don't care if the wizard has a +3 ward, that sucks.

That on top of the extra dispell dice that the runelords are bringing should not take much convincing.

For my dwarfs its nothing. My artillery will reap even more glory if these new monsters come to play.

If I get round to getting my beastmen back on the go a Bray shaman on manticore would be amazing.

Yeah, he has obvious advantages, but he is tired of already seeing purple sun and pit tear up his dwarfs. He really hates the magic phase lol.

Buy 2 chaos sorcerers put 1 on that fire terrain thing that they have advertised and convert the other to put him on a custom disc so i can use him in a game.

Also get the chaos lord on manti for kicks because he is siiiiiick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one better be nuking my magic phase or I will not be stoked they better not change it I like ruling the magic phase with an iron fist haha.

Have not seen or heard of any of the rules for it just saw the models.

I'm not sure what all I will buy, but I know I'll be purchasing the necromancer for my VC army!

1. Buy new templates. I like templates.

2. Buy new dice. I loooove dice.

3. Buy new Chaos Sorceror. I love Brian Nelson sculpts.

4. Buy new Dark Elf Sorceress. I love hot, evil babes.

5.Look at new Arcane Fulcrums. I like cool scenery.

6. Ignore everything else (well, maybe buy a Great Taurus. That model was coooooooool!)

New templates and dice? I have tolook into those for sure and the DE looks hot and evil eh? Might convert her then.

I expect to use it as an interesting source for campaign play. Use some/not all of the options to expand and make some cool add-ons.

I like the customizable options on different monsters- like getting the manticore an armor save.

I plan on getting the necromancer.
That's all.

I may pick up the new Dark Elf sorceress and perhaps the dragon. Thats if i get anything at all, i already have 4 sorceresses and a dragon already.

I would like to build the Infinity stairs, but they will take forever.

Buy books and cards, never play the damn thing because none of my group play fantasy.
