Hey Folks,
Well after being a long time World Eaters & Space Marine player i thought it was finally about time that I branched out in the 40k universe and tried something different. I have been playing quite a bit of kill team on the xbox lately and have the WAAAAAGH the grots screech has got stuck in my head so i have assumed this is a sign and so have picked up a few orks to have a go at.

This is the first one i have painted so far followed by whats next on the table

Looks pretty good, clean paint job. If you don't mind any suggestions I could give you a couple. Other than that good looking Ork.

Looking cool, I like the chips on the armour and axe.

I have the same thing with the grot voices from DOW 1 O.o

Any suggestions are more than welcome Adam I am after all trying to improve.

Will let you know my thoughts on second one at the mo i think the axe "brass" dosn't look right but i have no washes or anything on it at the mo,

That's a solid paint job.

Looks great, the fine edge highlights really stand out (not in a bad way)

My suggestions were just small ones. Some small highlights on the flesh and some glazing. The NMM on the your axe, need to make the lines thinner and try not to go the fun length of the blade edge. Just some small things. Other than that the armor looks great. The pits and chips in the armor great touch. The cloth parts are great maybe an idea would be to stain them a little make them look like dirty nasty orks, lol. Great first attempt two thumbs up.

Cheers for the pointers mate, The axe blades isn't actually NMM, Its just Boltgun then washed badab black then devlan mud then highlighted with mithril silver. But points taken about width/length of highlights TY

I like the face paint on the ork. It looks clean and well done. Nice job.

I like the blue facepaint they have.
Your pictures are a bit blurry but it looks good as far as I can see.

The face is painted
1, Knarloc Green
2. Orkshadehide
3.Scorpion Green
4. Wash with Thraka Green

Then the blue is just several layers of Enchanted Blue

Well i got alot of work done on a stormboy last couple days he not quite finished need to do the highlighting on him yet and sort the base out but what you think so far ?

Your metal work on the stormboy is excellent, how do you paint it?

The "metal" area's are boltgun metal
The "brassy" area's are dwarf bronze,
Then wash both with Badab Black then Devlan Mud and then highllight with mithril silver
