Well i have made a bit of a start on my Warboss,
However i was rumaging through my bits "drawers" and came across my unbuilt techmarine with servo harness

So i thought what can i use that for ??

I have come up with this after seeing something using the same bits in someoe elses thread



A BIG MEK !!!
I also think i managed to get stuff on him to represent anything he can have
Starting with his right arm you have
slugga with attached rockets for shooter/rocket combo,
flamer for shooter.flamer combo
axe head for choppa
claw for power klaw
shooter
big chopper
then the thing which could be a custom shooter.

ANd finally if all else fails a fist

Looks... familiar... I'd suggest seeing if you can bulk out the Power Klaw and Axe arms - they seem a bit weedy at the moment. Also - where is his Mega-armour/twin-linked Shoota?

Hmmmm. First time seeing this. I like what I see so far. But I do have to agree with Arakasi. But it still looks liek a WIP to me so ya might just not have gottin to that part yet. Very good stuff keep it up.

I was trying to think who,s thread i saw one in what would suggest uing to bulk out the arms a bit shoulder guards as if they were just welded on bits of metal ?

Easiest I can think of would be to get some plasticard tube (or similar) that will go over the - I'm assuming guitar wire. Chop it up into small lengths (maybe 2-3mm) and thread it on at regular intervals - ie 2-3mm of tube followed by 2-3mm of bare wire followed by 2-3mm of tube and so on. The idea is to bring the thickness up to the same level as the other arms, without losing the flexible arm looking effect. If you use plasticard, adding other plastic bits on top of this is then easy - maybe shoulder pads at the shoulder and "elbow", glyphs, rivets, trophies - you name it!

Love the Big Mek, will look awesome once he's finished.

Like the big mek so far, that's certainly a design klassik
Agree with Arakasi on the cable arms, you might have got away with the mekka-dendritt look for the plain axe head, but they don't look like they'd support the power saw properly. He also has the best suggestion for keeping that look whilst beefing it up

And where are the fold-out bike and Shokk Attack Gun?

I was really running out of room for the bike and SAG lol

Well the boss is away today she has gone to see her sister so i have managed to crack on & get my Warboss finished,
In all honesty I'm not so sure about finecase yet may have to work with it a bit more,

Warboss is looking mean.
I think the Blue works well on the Squig, and being the colour the Deffskulls hold as superstitious, I think its very Orky that the Warboss would select a blue Squig!

Love the work on the metal, looks awesome. I would however give the bone another highlight.

Looks good, nothing wrong with blue squigs. Only thing better than a blue squig is a blue squig on tracks

As it's a boss, maybe one more highlight on the skin tones, in particular the face. Just so he stands out a bit more from the rank and file?

Well i have finally got round to painting some mini's so sorry about the lack of an update but got a weirdboy minus his grots cos didnt like them and 2 nobs.
Got a SAG vertually finished just need last few touch ups.
So what do we think ?

Looks like you could have centred the Weirdboy more on his base. Also - Mould line Alert! (Back of Kombi-Skorcha). Can't tell if you drilled the gun barrels from those angles...

Otherwise - looking good!

Well got another Nob & Stormboy done so have a legal squad of nobs now,
Tried doing some rust on the 2 of them not to sure with it.
And then a few pics of all i got done so far

Pfft... you painted them wrong they should have been yellow

The rust is looking good how do you do it? The blacks a bit flat though could do with some highlights.

What happened to your Mek with the harness, did you bulk out the arms?

The rust is
1. Dry Brush Scorched Brown
2, Dry Brush Bestial Brown
3, Dry Brush Blazing orange on the extemes

The Big mek so far is still sat on the self undercoated I got rid of the 2 guitar wire "arms" as I wasnt entirely happy with them thought it was a little to much on the model.

Looking awesome as always dude, keep up the good work!
