New guy here. Lurked for a good while first. The 11th company stream chat convinced me I needed to be part of the larger community.
I started playing 40k about a year ago, after years and years of lusting. A buddy left his 4th edition BRB at my apartment in like 2006. After reading it cover to cover dozens of times over many years, at some point in 2010 I just decided to collect. Whether I ever play with anyone didn't matter, and the odds weren't good because no one where I live (DeLand, FL) that I knew of had ever heard of it. Luckily my girlfriend was into the idea, so we bought a black reach box and went from there. Now there is a good group of guys that play in my town almost every weekend, and some week nights.
I play 40k, fantasy, and have become dangerously close to getting into warmahordes. I collect Ultrasmurfs and Eldar. I have some fantasy stuff in the form of Isle of Blood and a box or two more.
I'm interested in playing Warmachine and Brushfire. It all depends on getting people in my area into it, or driving 40+ minutes to a friendly almost local game store to play once in a while.
