Spoiler:
Hi,
So we've hit a fairly crucial point in the development of Sedition Wars.
I'd like to first address the forums and say thank you ~ a thousand times thank you ~ for being so patient, passionate, and forthcoming.
Due to several factors outside the scope of the development of Sedition Wars, we've had to split design priorities.
These factors have unfortunately robbed our focus from addressing issues that prevent you from having a solid and fun play experience.
As of right now, we are gathering all feedback from the the forums, identifying key issues and refreshing the rules revisions.
Our plan is to take the current state of the rules and focus, hone, and streamline all wording and flow to construct a better rules set.
We've made a lot of mistakes, both on the design and planning side. In terms of communication and relating to you, our players, we need to do a better job.
Moving forward we will be doing our best to renew your trust in us. Please understand, we want you to have the best possible play experience we can provide.
In the next few days we'll have a road map to these improvements that I would like to share with you. We want to illuminate our intent and be as transparent as we can with the new process. We want to show you exactly where we see the product heading, not just in the next few months, but hopefully with your support, for years to come.
Regards,
Rob Baxter.
I'll post more information as and when I get it.
Thank you for posting that, Dave. They have burnt an enormous amount of goodwill from the community, and they will have to do an awful lot to get much of it back. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Nod, I tried to do it the other day but saw no way to unlock my pledge or add the rulebook.
With the scenery packs, this is apparently the set:
2 x Exocyst
2 x Necrocyst
2 x Macrophage
2 x Genstation
2 x Spore Engine
12 x Security Doors
12 x Normal Double Doors
12 x Narrow Doors
12 x Crates / Low cover / Terminals
2 x Teleport Control
2 x Havoc Defense Turret
2 x Auto-Doc
6 x Corpse
Does anyone know if that means 4 of each of the crates/low cover/terminals, or 12 each, or what the breakdown is exactly?
Personally, I feel Rob's done some good work clarifying inconsistencies, etc.
The changes since BBG have entered the fray are pretty radical, though, and given how they've dealt with rules questions (saying things directly contradictory with the earlier rulings), it seems like they have a very different view of what the game should be than Rob, which added some instability in the second edition of rules.
I feel like the game's about where it was after the first edition launch, again- 90% there, but with a few serious things in that last 10%. I'm more optimistic than you about working those out, though, since the changes they emphasized all seemed like the right direction.

I am strting to feel tired of empty promises. They said the same last time and didn't solve anything in the end. Let's hope this is it, otherwise I have completely lost my hope
BBG's involvement doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.
And while that may be unfair of me to say, I'm basing it partially off of what I've heard they've done to the rules for the upcoming Confrontation: Phoenix game...

Nope for some reason Dakkadakka thinks I'm in Austria (and I can't get it to change back) it's not the only site that I visit that this happens so there must be something up with my internet provider.
The new FAQ should be available this weekend the new Errata will take longer - these are interim FAQs and Errata they will be updated weekly based on feedback.

They've done very little other than stuff related to CMoN- I assume they've got some connection to someone there. I believe they're also working on the new edition of Confrontation and participated in the Relic Knights rules.
These are in their own words so they will sound a bit corporate spin like
Who is Blackball Games?
Chances are you’ve already played a game developed or designed in some capacity by Blackball Games. Founded by Duncan Huffman and Matthew Hope, Blackball is one of the fastest growing design and development firms in the table-top industry. With the founder's credit roots in popular games from Privateer Press and WOTC, and recent company design credits as varied as Relic Knights, Wrath of Kings, and Sedition Wars, Blackball continues to drive innovation and change the way games are played. In 2012, Blackball acquired the rights to AE:WWII and AE: Bounty from Darkson Designs. Matt Hope was the lead developer on both products for Darkson, and so folding the lines into Blackball Games was a great fit – essentially bringing the games home and rebooting them with an eye on streamlining and longevity.
Over the last two years, we've built over a dozen game systems, and helped companies of all types get their game development projects on track. You may already be playing a game that we helped build, we build a lot of 'em, some of them were the biggest names on Kickstarter.
We also have three miniatures lines and two table-top war game systems we publish ourselves

Actually Dave, this isn't true, sorry if there is a miscommunication.
The FAQ and errata should be ironclad once posted. The updates are intended to bolster the material and expand on answers when required.
But the intent is that we post 100% final material every time.
Rob.
While I pulled out for other reasons, I'm a bit confused; I had no idea the rules were considered to be in such bad shape. There seem to be many reasons to be leery of what is going on, but the rules?
I'm going to go ahead and buy the rules, because even if i play this game a little bit, the new rules are better than the original ones, and $3 is better than the 40 is would cost to have them printed at Office Max.
I just wish they weren't still in need of going out and downloading a bunch of FAQ stuff. That's one of the things I hate the most about modern 40K rules.

A bit of news: Apparently, CMoN is in the second printing of the game- it's got the new rules and new brighter game tiles by whoever did the Zombiecide ones (printers, not designers).

At least new buyers are getting a better product. Not that it helps out dumb folks like me that bought an extra set during the kickstarter.
It would have been nice if they at least offered the option to add the new lighter tiles to the pledge manager like they did the new rulebook.
