Hi guys,
I am a returning 40k player, I used to play 6 or more years ago and after the release and awesomeness of the Space Marine game I fancied coming back to play. I used to field Grey Knights, Orks, Nids and Sisters. I am stuck for what I should start up again, I no longer have any of my old models so would need to start fresh with an army. I am tempted to do the new orks but I want to stay away from the most popular things just so I can have a different army ( I want fluff and conversions not a competitive army). I am thinking perhaps Chaos, they need some loving from what I have read on various forums. Anyone else think a well converted Dragon Warriors army is a good way to go?

Thanks for the welcomes. I have changed my mind on chaos though. I cant ignore my roots as an ex ork player and really want to start a feral ork army which will most likely later expand to me owning armies from all clans. Already got plans to make some awesome models for this feral army. Going to start on Friday and will then make a thread for my army build with lots of pics.

Welcome to Dakka! I think the most important thing is to do something that inspires you to convert/build/paint regardless of what is popular or unpopular. Orks always have the coolest conversions since you can literally attach anything to anything else and it's still orky, so maybe from a conversions standpoint that would be a good fit.
