Sure is FW if I had the money I would definitely go to purchase one, it just looks so awesome and would be a great centre piece! 12 dissie shots and the strength 7 2D6 pen on vehicles, oh an able to contain 15 wyches it makes a great support tank.

Rape boat Seriously though, this is a fantastic model and I'll certainly be getting one once I start Dark Eldar. Maybe you could decorate the decks of the vehicle with all kinds of assorted slaves .

Awesome model - gave a friend a forgeworld addiction (DE is his first army) from the initial photo, now he's got the model he's like a small child....
Rules are ok - its a SERIOUS infantry killer, 12 dissie shots kills most things, and if you need to you can get those embarked troops 25 - 36" away at a time....

I got the new Imperial Armour book with the rules in last week and I'm looking at getting a Tantalus (if I have enough money left) at the end of the month. The model is beautiful and the rules are okay, so I think I deserve an early Christmas present
@ OP - have you got any pic's of it so I can get an idea of the size? Considering the FW site used a model that I've never seen IRL for the purpose of scale, it wasn't much use to me

I want one because it looks so awesome. Would look great surrounded by Raiders and Ravagers. I want to have a looooot of money so I could get one... and a Reaper too though. Don't care about their rules, both of them would look great in a DE army.

Of course it makes sense. When there are a bunch of BDSM clowns doing Olympic gymnast routines throughout your unit, while also cutting off heads, you tend to get a bit distracted.

Length of the Tant is like 3 times the length of a raider. Twice the height of the raider (witthout the sale) and wife was quick to pronounce what I'm getting her for this coming Xmas.

Thinking about using one as the command vehicle for my archon and court. My question is does it have enough troop capacity to care an DE Archon and a full size Archon's Court on it?

It can carry 16 models, and is also a dedicated transport (instead of HS) for a Court of the Archon.
Size wise it is a good foot long, i'd estimate. It is HUGE, and you will definitely want to have the sail be detachable!

I'll try and get some pictures if available and post them on this discussion, it is definatley not 3 times the length of a raider It is 11 and a tiny bit inches long and a height of about 4 inches from base to tip of the command platform and spike span (Teehee) is about 6-7 inches. the base they supply with it though is ridiculous, I recomend getting a valkarie base and stand from some where and make the sail detachable otherwise it'll be a bit of a bitch to transport But yeah I definatley recomend one, and some seriously strong super glue
