Wow! just looked through all of these conversions. Skill level and experience obviously varies but all are awesome. Well done

Converting is one of my favorite aspects of hobbying and I have a go at it whenever possible (with varying results). Here are 2 of my favorites.

I LOVE the Mephiston character and have always been very fond of the old model and love the Astorath model, so with the help of a jewelers saw and a whole lot of dremel gouging, some GS, cork tiles, wire and a lick of paint. Hope you like it.

The other was a rainy day throw together which actually turned out really well.

Took the Succubus model from WoW and carefully cut her legs and rear off. Lots of green stuff later and some purple paint, the results, still need to give her a sword though.

And here we have a few My Little Pony blood crushers, still a WIP though.

Nice idea on the succubus, but i think it will be better if you paint it.

On the My Little Pony blood crushers, the white one is Princess Celestia!?

@ 08ak1 I searched around and found your blog, love seeing how you built those armored sentinels, and would LOVE to have a few of my own. Are the armor pieces also parts of the drop pod you reference in your blog, or are they from another kit?

Thanks all, yeah that is my old blog there and it's got lots of info on the process of making them for those asking. I don't use the blog anymore so feel free to look around but don't expect anything new...

Generally speaking the inner part of the arms are made from cutup parts of the drop pod bits that stick out for the marine to put his back on.

The outer armor plates are either plasticard(pretty obvious in the blog in progress pics) or they are cut up bits of the cockpit for the the sentinel.

The legs are pretty much just Sentinel legs with some added armor from plasticard/sentinel bits.

then of course theres some pretty bad green stuff work i did in there

To make all three you would probably just need:
-Bits from the inside of a drop pod, ask a friend a lot of people make their pods without that inside console. Otherwise a single pod kit could easily do 3 of these or more.
-Sentinel kit, need 1 per model
-little bit of plasticard and green stuff(and better skills with it then i had at the time lol)

Thanks for the parts list mate! You really should see if you can put together a tutorial in the articles section for these, I can't be the only one that sees this as a must have.

I figured it was a dead blog, but I bookmarked it either way for when I can afford the kits. (College Student)

I'm thinking I'll use these, with some huge modifications, as counts as Russ's for my air-mobile guard.

Maybe, truth be told i did them as a start for a Stompa hunter formation in Apoc.

The guns are magnetized, as i planned to make some sniper'ish lascannon's for the apoc formation. I even have all the kits to finish it, but have moved on to other projects. Perhaps one of these days i'll get around to finishing it out.

Nice APUs 08ak1

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.
