You certainly succeed in making very expensive models look like cheap toys from china. Nevertheless the look is unique and completely off the wall.

Because he attached a MLP tag to them (which frankly I don't see, pretty <>MLP people!) and that gets the forum dander up.

My sole thought on the Soul Grinder was "why's the armor Ultramarine Blue?" This likely has to do with my status as Xenos lover though.

The armor she is wearing is her out of the box paint job, I just added the purple on her.

My in-progress full battle company (reinforced) "Proper Scale" Space Marines. I'll probably start a blog once the project is further along. But here are a few of the samples. Have about three completed squads now with modified heavy weapons and swappable special weapons. Trying to make sure that every model has its own personality and individuality, but without just overloading them with purity seals or banners, etc. Space Marine armies are difficult to achieve this because of their uniformity, and I've made it doubly hard on myself by requiring all models to be wearing helmets, and only using MK7 armor parts. Like the title of my gallery, "Leave no Model Unconverted". The intention is that nearly every part of the Marines aside from helmets and backpacks will have been modified in some way (they will eventually be based too). That and my insistence that every Marine look like he has enough ammunition and grenades to prosecute a small war. There is also the challenge to make the company function "counts as" for all existing codex books.

There are more pictures in the link in my sig. Bolters are now drilled, so don't fear, lol. Not a cheap project by any means either (several bits dealers have become marginally richer at my expense), but I guess that's the advantage of being a reasonably well funded adult gamer instead of a poor high school/college gamer like I used to be.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

Very subtle. Looks like the double-head eagle from the metal/Finecast Space Marine Terminator Librarian model on the Nemesis Warding Stave or, more likely, a Nemesis Halberd, GS cloaks and maybe the book, an Iron Halo on the Storm Shield guy (and that itself is a conversion, so I'm guessing he's a Draigo? A very cool one! And the guy on the right has the Nemesis Warding Stave head on his back?

They look really good, Are they your models? I'd like to see some more pics if they are!

Ever since I started playing I got tried, rather quickly might I add, seeing Blood Angels and Space Wolves mop the floor 99% of the time in my play area on everyone and seeing how the Codex Marines seemed to fall short when compared to the other two. That being said, one of the guys who played BA's earned a memorable spot in my army, this is a scout Sergeant I made standing on Blood Angel rubble with a knife through a Blood Angel helmet.

Simple reposition with green stuff and things of that nature.

Thanks Skalk. It's actually my nephew that is the follower of Nurgle, this Chaos Lord is a gift for him. I thought he could use a low cost HQ since he's only a Defiler and Possessed passed the two Troops requirement. More about the conversion itself in the spoiler.
Spoiler:
The conversion itself is pretty simple for the most part. It's really just a kitbash of the Chaos vehicle gunner front torso and head, three shoulder pads(one for the belly plate), a reposed pair of Khorne Berserker legs(standing) and backpack.
The combiflamer is another kitbash of flamer, bolter and ammo belt from a heavy bolter while the sword is a chainsword shaved down to get rid of the motor, a bayonet for the tip of the blade, hook and chain, and a blob of greenstuff for the bulk of it.
The rock is just a rock.
The paints are mostly non GW, as I'm using mostly Americana paints these days. From GW I used Deneb Stone, Chainmail, and Ogryn Flesh... everything else is Americana paints.

Yeah, he's definitely more "action hero implausible" than "real and natural", but this is 40K, not real life. I like injecting realism of pose ot add character into my own models, but at the same time, a little "Over the Top" can be a lot of fun. Heck, that's what makes really creative Ork armies the best thing about 40K (if maybe a bit too silly to be congruous with the background material).

That model reminds me of a professional wrestler leaping off the top rope to execute some kind of impractical finishing move. It's hilarious.

Thanks for the responses fellas, I felt it was pretty fluid/realistic as if he was coming down on his target and I put a slight turn in his body because it seems like you would have some torque coming down with the swords.
