Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

Classic as it is it would only be better if his shirt was blue. Actually I could think of tons of ways this could be funnier. Discuss.

Follow up shot of him smelling his hand? I don't know, it will get taken down and if GW does him right they better hook him up with some free loot. Gonna be hard for this guy to show his face around that store again.

Knowing GW HQ types, this is more likely thrown in BECAUSE of the guy unwedgy-ing himself.

I recall a certain 'Lictor Hunt'...... I still have the shirt for it!

It's the "flagship" store of China.

The store has not had its "grand opening" yet, but according to the site "it's packed every weekend with eager hobbyists to play and paint".

"Grand Openings" aren't often held on the first day a store opens these days. Quite often, in fact, a "Grand Opening" will happen a week to a month after the place actually opens.

The last time I went to one, it was almost 6 months after the GW store opened its doors. I guess they want to develop a bit of a community before "grand" opening.

Notice the lighting array on the ceiling. Does that say Games Workshop. Pretty cool if it does. And I only see 2.5 females, that thing in the grey and black striped shirt could go either way. Blurry face could mean she's a supernatural creature.

If the photo has been cropped then surely is proof positive that GW scan these forums, is it not? Or is it just coincidence that this thread is posted and then the photo is subsequently cropped?

It might be proof that the IT web guy does but not necessarily that the higher ups who make marketing and design decisions do.

Doubt it. Probably more that a bunch of people on the Facebook pointed it out.

I've seen quite a lot of photoshopping with GW books. An Apoc book has a stompa that has been photo shopped over a little so he is more center-picture...problem is part of his body was left over. I've seen things duplicated to make battles look larger too.

A gamesday photo from 2010, if I can find it ill post it, is a good example. Theres two extra squads of orks...that are the same....

I remember when they did the zombie pirates, the picture of the unit in the magazine had the same figures duplicated several times in the unit. They must have only made and photographed a couple and doubled them up to make a 20 man unit. What's more, they used parts that weren't on the zombie or empire milita sprue at the time. Strewth.

I think it is. I check the GW website everyday and this popped (not pooped) out at me. I really feel bad for the guy, we all do it but when a company uses it for promotion and it's so obvious it's a joke. And lets not forget the hundreds or thousands of dollars this guy spent at the store for this to happen, it's a slap in the face. They really need to make it right with this guy.

All I see are asian chicks painting! Is there anything else in the pic? I can't tell.

This thread really needs the pic.

On another note, GW blue shirts must be much cheaper than black or red shirts. There are tons of them. That is certainly what every GW store needs.
