That is a really cool Duke, I like the casual pose with the swords on his back. The proportions of the sheathed weapons and the body is pretty fantastic.
When I made mine I felt the need to give him a cape, because I felt a swash buckling, ship stealing, bipolar, star pirate should have a cape.
Thanks. His legs were from the Harlequin Troope master and everything else just kinda gelled from there. I excuse the gaurd shoulder pads the same way you justified a cape. A pirate should aquire things.

Was bored of painting my never ending ork boyz, so I decided to mess around with some green stuff and try out yellow. First time painting a space marine as well as edge highlighting and NMM, so sorry for the crappy paint job.

So, what iv'e done on it is as follows: some nice and (not so)shiny exhaustpipes, vent kind of thing (rear), antenna, the heavy bolter. And last but not least a conversion on a conversion! the searchlight on the heavy bolter.
Not my best work, actually it's rather poor if truth be told, but certainly two of my favorites. The Broodlord came to be only because I had a bookcase fall on some of my models. My plastic Eldar Falcon took the worst of it, (missed my Epicast one fortunately), snapping off a wing and doing some damage. It's now an Ork vehicle, but I need more hover grots to finish it. Included in the damage was a Terminator leg that snapped and I never did find the rest of it. Rather than toss the bit into my bits box, I noticed that a Terminator helmet fit perfectly into the Broodlord's hand, thus I made him WYSIWYG for his Inhuman Strength rule (lifting a metric ton with one hand must qualify, right).
The other conversion is a weapon replacement to go with my current WIP Tau. Right now I'm struggling with Zaku heads for my Crisis Suits, but you can probably get the idea where this is going.
P⑨P QUIZ
A bus left the Scarlet Devil Mansion; three people boarded at the start.
At Hakugyokurou, one left and half a person boarded.
At Yakumo-san's house, two people left; so how many passengers in total?
The answer is zero people because there are no buses in Gensokyo!
i've converted a good number tanks. but the furthest conversion so far is my new Macharius Vanquisher, built from an M60 model with plasticard and bits.
