These are good alien (or similarly inspired) stand ins and scenery pieces. Nice one. I especially like the giant worm thing as you put it. Could have some interesting rules.

Ah just realised they are from the same model. Good job you can buy them separately +1.

The worming is not too bad - not that great though. The add-ons I really just don't like and I cannot put my finger on why - I think it is because the head looks so much like a 3rd ed Hive Tyrant.

2014 will be the year of zero GW purchases. Kneadite instead of GS, no paints or models. 2014 will be the year I finally make the move to military models and away from miniature games.

Erm, I don't know if it's just me or whether it's a British thing. But Slag Dragon? Really??

Sounds like something or someone you might pick up at 3am on a Friday night out in Romford!

Do you know that 'Slag' is slang in the UK for someone who likes to 'get around'.

Oh well.....

That's one of the meanings of the word. It also refers to the leftover or unwanted material from smelting, for example.

I like it, it would go well as some sort of mother beast for my Heresy giant maggots.

£3.50 for the maggot body is a bargain. Am I right in thinking it would fit comfortably on a 50mm 'Warmachine' base?

Thanks for the explination, although I was already aware of the original meaning of the word.

However it doesn't change the fact that, at least in this country, the word now has another connotation.

One which I personally wouldn't want my products being associated with. But that's just me.

However if the OP and person/s that named the product were not aware of it's dual meanings, then hopefully they will be aware now and may take that on board as to whether they are still happy with the name or not.

You do know that Ramshackle are a British company right?

I'm seeing this as more of a Spaceballs Alien combined with a character from a Guy Richie flick.

"I'm a slsaaag init, monsta! Monsta! Monsta!" or something.

I'm sure there's plenty of names, words and images in 40K and wargaming in general that can be twisted into double-entendre but that doesn't mean that you have to go around sniggering like a 12 year old every 5 minutes. If you are aware what the word actually means rather than it's slang appropriation, I'm not sure what the issue is?

Did you guys know that the word "booty" doesn't refer to treasure, but refers to something totally different when used by American rap artists?!?

I like Slag Dragons. Great model, Curtis!

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

Why? You’re making something out of nothing.

I might be going to go out in a limb here by saying this, but I think it’s safe to say that most women won’t care that the Ramshackle Games worm-coming-out-of-the-ground is called a ‘Slag’ Dragon.

I'm not trying to have an argument here, just giving my opinion on a name which when I first saw it made me think of the promiscuous connotation.

But maybe that says more about my mindset.

But if you guys are happy with it then good for you, slags all round!

Great Model - and great website too for that matter.

Out of interest Ramshackle_Curtis - would your Bike models be able to be used in a game that I play regularly, set in a futuristic styled Space environment? Are they to a similar scale - just for arguments sake, to a SM Bike???

If so - you will have a sizeable order in the next Month or so.

A scale photo would make my day, but the model looks great...

Naked body looks better...

Now, i have to realize how it could be added to a Dark Eldar army, maybe as a very distinctive cronos?

As a model in and of itself, I quite like it, and really like the customizability. You've done a great job of that with your vehicles, Curtis, and I'm glad to see you doing it with big ugly monsters too. And that brings me to Johnny-Crass's comment:

Johnny-Crass wrote:Part of me REALLY likes it.... and part of me was hoping for a scrapmetal dragon

I think you could do a REALLY awesome job with a customizable --possibly steampunkish or orky-- scrap dragon.

I got a bunch of the dungars, and dungar riders
the men on them are a bit smaller than future space warriors , with a marine on top it would look a little "off" however the dungars themselves are about bike size

It should be close, but you'll probably have to do a little bit of converting and the marines will look a little large on them. The scale of future space warriors are totally off the wall wrong and curtus's stuff is pretty spot on

on another note he has some really sweet models for stuff like psyker battle squads and such, ive actually spent more money on ramshackle stuff than GW this year, lol. The other bonus of including them in my army, is that the future space warriors in it look realscale in comparison

Another great ramshackle release.
Ramshackle has to be my favourite indy miniature company with very characterful sculpts that are not obvious stand ins for other companies' products and such good prices.

Keep up the good work Curtis.

I wonder what it looks like with the claws but without the Tyranid-esque crown.

Characterful as always, Curtis. The extras don't quite match such a pulpy body but that ain't no biggie. Love how the little limbs continue down the body.

Looks a little Skorny, a little 'Blighty. I'm thinking maybe grab a bunch of extra holes and incorporate them into a Hordes board and have Mr Wormy pop up and nom anyone who gets - or gets thrown - too close.
