Hi there!
I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself.
I'm new to the forum, and new to the game, but not new to the hobby.
I've been enjoying painting miniatures for some time now. but I haevn't really played. along the way, I picked up a Assult on Black Reach box set, and started painting.
Some of my students (I teach high school) were talking about War Games, and I figured, why not break out the box set, and give it a whirl.
Well the boys loved it, and are hoping to play more after the holiday break, so I need to brush up on the rules, and i figured I would join a forum, in case I have any questions. Anytime I look up 40k on the internet, the name DakkaDakka shows up, so I figured this would be the place to join.

The Space Marines I got with ABR are painted as Ultra Mrines, becuase they seem like a "generic" chapter, and they are mostly for the kids to use.
I have another small set of Space marines that I've had for years who are painted as Slalmanders...those are my personal army.
The Orks from ABR are in the middle of being done up as Evil Suns.
