Old one eye sold for a measly 10 bucks? Man I wish I would have known about that going on.

Back on topic, Pretre has the right idea price wise. While you might find someone out there who would pay top dollar, its going to be hard. The vast majority of people I've known hated the look of 2ed nids (or was it third...whatev). So yeah old school players looking to score OOP figs or the occasional person interested in goofy old models.

Not quite as bad as the RT Nids, but close.

The original Carnifex was an RT release. And, to be fair there weren't really very many RT Nids. There was the metal Warrior, and the later plastics weren't much different to that. The metal Termagaunts were thinner and more wiry than the 2nd Ed ones (which, in turn, were about 2/3rds the size of the 3rd Ed/current Termagaunts), and beyond that the only other Tyranid models were the Squig Swarms, plastic and metal Genestealers (the latter of which looked pretty much like the plastic ones, and the plastic ones were available right through to the 4th Ed 'Nid Codex) and then the old Genestealer Hybrid models.

It's only when 2nd Ed Tyranids hit did we get an actual expansion to the line (Hive Tyrants, Lictors, Biovores, Hormagants, Gargoyles, Zoanthropes, new Termagaunts in plastic and metal and new metal Warriors).

Aha. Fair enough.

Maybe I'm just thinking of the googly headed warrior.

Only ten-twenty in box? That's horrible, IMO. They should go for at least 30, given their age..

I think they have a strange charm, like the bipedal Zoanthrope.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I'm using my Old Zoeys, some lash whips, some Lictorheads and wa-la! Venomthropes with giant poison spore heads.

Old models do have an odd sort of charm.

But I already have 3 Cuddlefexes. I don't need more.

If you want to get rid of all that stuff set up a swapshop thread, you'll get more interested viewers (and keeps dakka clean).

I myself might be interested in one of those huggies if they're not too expensive.

I think this is a 2nd edition metal lictor. It's not the same as the one I have (the scything talons are different), but the body and pose are very similar. If it is, then this is an OOP model. It's unlikely to fetch much of a good price though, the model is ugly and the rules aren't great for lictors, so only a hard-core collector will want it, and given that it was relatively easy to get, most of those collectors will already have one.

This is a 3rd edition biovore and spore mines. It is still currently available on the GW site (although they sell it in a box now instead of a blister).

This is a 3rd edition metal Zoanthrope. It has now been released in Finecast, so it is still currently available and not OOP.

The metal gargoyle that was available prior to the new plastic release. Technically OOP, but again, a very common model.

I paid about $45 with shipping for a sealed Hive Tyrant and Carnifex form that era. I love them. I'd love to get those for $20 a piece. The "killer" is the lack of guns that can be put on them, hence the reason (I think) no one wants them. I like them for that exact reason...

well I was looking at the post and the zoanthrope is not the one I see in finecast. It is much different here is a picture of it assembled.

Ah, right, the "3.5" zoanthrope is the finecast one. Yours is the 3rd edition Zoanthrope.

It's a far cry from the old 2nd edition one though:

IcyCool, you are so far off the mark with some of these here it isn't funny.

Let's go in order shall we?

The Lictor is the 3rd edition Lictor.
The Biovore is indeed a 3rd edition biovore. It is OOP, having been replaced by the 4th edition Biovore. It is no longer for sale through GW.
Same with the Zoanthrope. This has NOT been released in Finecast. The 4th edition Zoanthrope which replaced it has been.
3rd edition Gargoyles. Infamous for their awkward wings.
3rd edition Carnifex. There was never a 3.5 edition Tyranid release.
3rd edition Hive Tyrant. Again, OOP.
