Well, I'm not rich. I save and only make a few orders a year. Rest of my money goes on living No date is set yet, planning to be within the next 2years Thanks again for your kind comments sir. More updates coming. At this very moment I'm putting together the Death Riders. Currently on my 3rd ...

What technique did you use for painting your standard troopers. I have been fussing with some great coat/gas mask models and can not find a color scheme I like.

Skull White spray. Then layers of Devlan Mud wash all over. And then watered Badab Black for darker folds.

I'm changing my entire scheme now. So I'm sure GW will notice the Devlan Mud sales dropping!

I hope to have some pics up in a few days. Working on changing the theme and have assembled the Death Riders already. There was a couple of problems with 2 of them and FW are sending replacements. Its annoying that FW have changed everything and done away with the "bargain" packs eg. Mortar Battery or Death Rider squad. Is alot more expensive buying them individually. They also got rid of those handy Krieg gunners for the trenches...

Too true! We should round up everyone who has a Death Korps blog on Dakka and mass email forgeworld demanding they return the deal packs!

Yeah. Might be worth a shot. I guess the reason they are no longer available is that they sold less in bulk buys and people purchased them individually over time. For the trench gunners I'm guessing it was down to them not selling as well as other lines. Really annoying. They could have at least said they are thinking of removing certain items and "get them now while you can!".. but first I heard was when logging on after xmas to buy stuff to find most of the things I wanted were MIA. I guess an email from the "Dakka Krieg" would be a good idea. You never know, FW might listen to its customers?!

Been reading over the Model Masterclass book and ordered up some oil paints and pigments! They will take a few days to arrive. I have also managed to take the Grenadiers off my Centaur without harming any of the figures or the tank itself. They will be repainted and the Centaur will have some work done on it also. Hoping to post some new pics after the weekend...

Don't worry, I have been working on the Krieg. I'm waiting till I get more done to take some pics as there is alot WIP some with only coats done others with only trousers done etc. I'm off for nearly 2weeks from Saturday so there should be some updates in that time. Here's a quick pic of one of my WIP Death Riders. Got 7 in total... so far!

I haven't been with the krieg for long, but I love doing customizations and conversions. The DKoK are great for that, and my next project was going to be a Valkyrie, with the inner deployment bay looking much like the Elysian Valkyrie Squad on forgeworld, but with these bringers of pain.

However, I REALLY don't want to mess up the painting, I would like to know
A) How you get everything so smooth in your painting, mine are also very bold and messy, but yours are so light it looks like the paint isn't even there, as though they were real people.
B) What do you guys think think I should do for the paint job? I was thinking of freehanding maybe a sword with wings on either side, or maybe recreating the "shark teeth" front with a snow camo (My entire army is snow-based)
C) What should I put as the scene inside? I was thinking 2 guys on mounted stubbers hanging out the side doors (like an apache [Yes I know I probably wont be able to USE the stubber in game, but what the hell]) and then maybe gettting the guys from the centaur set that are in sitting postion, and have them relaxing, preparing for deployment, but I want a second opinion.
D) Where do you get your brushes, and what do you guys use?
E) Anyone have a link to a good set of rules and points for the krieg? Can't find many that are simple to understand... and I want my guys to taste battle as soon as possible.

I'll post some pictures when it's done, and I am happy to add my army to the nuclear winter. They already look the part.
