Thanks for the comments. There will be some updates on the Ork Pirates soon as I now have the time to work on them again. It will be a little while before my next Krieg purchase so will spend the time on unfinished projects. I also started work on an Ork Pirate Deffkopta, Will post some pics soon. This is in its early stages but I hope to make something fun and a little silly

Oh... and got myself this on eBay.... Description said Turrent not glued in place and painted with a very thin layer of paint. The Krieg boys have some support!

Ok, its arrived... and if thats what the guys idea of light painting is then i'd hate to see his heavily painted stuff.... Its caked on.. not very bad... but bad.. and some of the tracks are not flush... seems slightly out of alignment... Man.... you gotta love eBay descriptions... this is right up there with the "Master Painted" stuff!

Will set to work restoring this lady to her former... or should I say INTENDED Glory. Its stuck together solid so will be a pain taking it apart... gonna try that fairy power spray stuff people are talking about... and if any bits are beyond salvage then I'll get some bits to replace them. More updates as they happen...

.... Oh and I got my Mole Launcher today... It didnt look it but its the most horrible figure I've had to put together to date. Is it me or is FW's stuff slight off... like arms that are just slightly at the wrong angle etc as to the ones pictured on site/catalogue... Need to green stuff a little and I managed to cut off one of their feet which pinged across the room... lucky my Girlfriend found it.. I keep telling myself "Don't Panic"... So between the tank and the mole launcher I'm surprised I've still got hair!

Ok. Finally managed to break apart the 2nd hand Russ. Not only does it have very tick paint all over it the person used plastic glue in huge amounts so everything has melted together. Me and my trusty knife managed to split it but the tracks could not be salvaged. The tracks were not on melted together they were also cover in more glue and flock painted grey. Lucky I have some spare track from a Rhino which looks like it should fit (if anyone can confirm that would be great). Here are some pics. I'm happy with the work so far but my Mole Launcher guys seem less than impressed

So, the Russ is taking a Power Spray Bath and already lots of detail is coming through. The Turret was pretty much destroyed by the huge amount of glue all over it and instead of a hatch he greenstuffed and glued a GW round base to it... why I have no idea but was a pain to remove and left a pretty big hole. I should be able to fix this with some green stuff and a good old Tau Drone!

This will require a lot of work. Managed to get some replacement Russ tracks for £3 so will bring the total to £15 which IF.. and its a big IF... the Russ turns out ok will be a pretty good price. Not as great as I first thought based on eBay description but still, not bad.

Oh... and my latest order of Death Korps Arrived! Got me a command squad and an Engineers team.

They look nice! Can't wait to see them finished

My desk, Blood for the Krieg and a very old model I done around 15years ago and won me a local painting comp

Here's my Junior Officer WIP. Used some GS to sculpt some folds in tunic and fill gap. I wanted him to look more impressive then they very static standard model. I think he turned out pretty nice.

YEAH ABSENCE OF A LASPISTOL!
PS maybe you want to bulk up the sword with some GS when i got my krieg i found that it got bent really easily

Thanks for the tip I agree also. This came with a warped sword anyway and the shape is a bit wierd from the front. The plasma pistol is a slight conversion. I had an arm from the command upgrade pack and I cut the hand at wrist and did same on original hand and swapped over. I was luck I made such a great cut as it went right in place with no need for GS... wanted a plasma pistol as my mounted commissar and my squad leader already have a las. Since all krieg have gas masks its hard to get someone to standout as an individuality but I think it add real character to this faceless little guy... even though it gave me to worst knife cut Ive had...

Oh, and an update on the tank... Ive made a nice big turret using the most un40k thing ever... wait for it... a Disney High school musical pencil! Was at my local pound store reduced to 50p as it had the rubber missing... which Im glad it did as when I looked at it I saw a tank barrel and it when it my basket. Will post pics Ive taken soon.. I had to capture it as once painted no one would believe me

Niiice! I like what you're doing with the Bases, especially on the Junior Officer. It's sooo tempting to order some DKOK Models, as there's no arguing, they are the sex. You kind of prove that.

Ohh, those flags are pure hell, or at least mine were..... Drilling them out, with less than 0.5mm to each side, worrying about breaking it while doing so, gahh! :S

The russ does look alot better. I will try making some air filters myself, not going to put any more money into this Russ. Will save those Forge World upgrade goodies for a new Russ or Baneblade And High School Musical wasnt by choice, just seemed liked a good barrel, but I must admit I did get some satisfaction from cutting through it!

Thanks for the offer of tracks, yes I got that sorted. I picked up a set for about £3 which have now arrived. I've stopped working on the Russ for now as I want to get my new "Box O' Krieg" painted up. Already started on the Junior Officer, pics soon!

Yahoo! Well, I've been drooling over the £150 Forge World Lucius Pattern Baneblade for a while now. But Cannot afford £150 at the moment. Well, I've had a bit of luck. I've got to wait till around the 24th of this month to receive it but Ive managed to get one... also includes Airfilters and the Death Korps Heavy Stubber tank commander which new from Forge World would bring the total of this to £160 not including shipping which im sure would be around £20 . I got all this for the total of £65!!!
Here's a pic the owner sent me, nope, this is not my work table and I'm envious of all the tanks surrounding it!

When it arrives I'll set to either spraying it with a basecoat or if its painted badly and lumpy I'll strip the sucker down.

Will take new pics when it arrives so you can see a closeup of the condition its in.... I think I got a bargin?

Was in my local GW store the other day, staff in there said they would be fine with me playing it as a Mole Launcher. They just said I needed to show my opponent the rules for it first so they know what they are up against

The army looks fantastic, I was going to be ambitious and start DKOK but with the shipping to America and everything, I decided to just do Steel Legion. I'm glad someone's making them though! They look fantastic.
