WIP of Junior Officer

So, found it hard to motivate myself on that mess of a Russ and the more I looked at it the more I hated it and felt ripped off. I was then looking at my Marder MkII and thinking what I could do to make that work. So, I decided to take some tools to both to make a combination of the 2.. this is WIP and has alot of work to go.. but here are the first pics of the Marder Russ!

Indeed. If this turns out crappy this time then I think I'll hold of 2nd hand "Bargains" for a while. Although the photo is alot better than the one of the Russ and looks lightly painted... so heres hoping!

A little progress on the Krieg and the Tank finally has tracks! Also in the background are some Seekers of Slaanesh that I'm putting together for my girlfriend. Shes decided to start a Slaanesh army!

I really love how the infantry look. Sorta like they're truly in the middle of moving between trenches, covered in dust from explosions and the like.

It's really too bad you got a crappy tank though, I dunno why people use so much plastic glue on their models...

Thanks for the comment. The troops have a way to go before they are done. I'm being a bit picky with them and keep changing and repainting bits. Then I've got about 10 more Krieg figures that haven't even been undercoated yet. Hope to work on them some more tomorrow and if I do then I will post more pics.

And yep, shame about the tank. This person covered it in glue and that coupled with about 20 layers of paint made it really hard to salvage. Thats why I thought "to Hel(l) with it" and ripped it apart. Glad I did as I like the tank I have come up with. Need to build a rail at the back and also get a krieg gunner crew but think I could actually make something good when I'm done.

It would look quite cool, you basing it on the old Basilisk, with the two dumb looking crewmen?

Um, I'm gonna pick out one of the Krieg gunner crews, the ones with 3 guys. I think there is 2 different ones. It should look pretty good once Ive painted the tank and added some mud to make it like my centaur.. and then add the guys to the platform. I should be able to hide all the crappy areas of russ. I'm glad I decided to rip it apart, looks way better. And I can't wait to finally get the troops done.

Thanks man. Glad it turned out ok after the Russ issues. Its in great shape. Been sticking the tracks back together, and boy are Resin BaneBlade tracks a pain! Once I've finished putting this back together I'll prime this beast in Skull white and begin the long process of painting it. I'm gonna have to pickup about 4 pots of Devlan Mud to start with! But am very happy with this bargin of bargins. I can't believe I managed to get one of these cheap, I've been drooling over the pics in the FW booklet for ages... and now its sitting on my table!!

It is getting better by the minute. I was thinking of getting some Death korps but was put off by the prices, maybe I will rethink after seeing these!

Ok, Tank Commander is nearly done, all he needs is his tank... which will take a while to paint. Also included is a pic of one of the Seekers I'm building for my GF.. Thought I would make them look like they are leaping off things rather than the "straight out of the box pose" which makes them look like they are falling over!

Finally the beast is sprayed!

EPICBRUSHWARS! Really, a big brush and a pot and cover it all over... and once that layer is dried rewash with with a mix of Devlan and black in the gaps.. then another wash over the reset with more Devlan mud. So its costing a fortune in Devlan atm.. but getting there.. will post pics later.. Thanks for all your comments so far guys!
