I still find the UK prices crippling, so god knows what they are like in the US if you find Games Workshop UK prices good!

Easiest solution is to buy off ebay. I've raised a 2000pt+ guard army almost entirely through ebay, paint stripped it and re-painted in my colour scheme. It's probably cost me no more than £200 ($320). Some I bought new off ebay for about 25-50% discount with no problems. It's great.

Space Wolves: 1000pts (WIP)

First off, you might want to ease up on asking the same question over and over.
Second off, yes, GW stuff is expensive in the US. It's also expensive in UK, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, Canada, Venus, Mars, Mercury... You get where I'm going.
Best thing to do is to save your money and look around on ebay.

Online: The War Store. 20% off retail, but you have to call in your order. Ebay can also be a source of cheaper miniatures, but not nearly as many good deals as there used to be. What army are you wanting to play? If it's Space Marines or Orks, you can find some reasonable deals on the Assault on Black Reach miniatures.

Or, go to your friendly local gaming store (FLGS) or local GW store and just buy 1 unit at a time.

I'd second kronks suggestion of trying The War Store. They've got great customer service and 20% off RRP is aways nice.

Welcome to Dakka anyway

Kriers on Palendale just off the 5 is going to be your best bet. As long as it's in stock, it'll be discounted off MSRP.

Also, Warhammer night is Wednesday, though you typically need to schedule a week in advance if you want to get a game, feel free to drop by and chat Warhammer though.

Yes, I know where he lives, and that is really going to be his best bet for a FLGS.
