Hello, I've been wondering if an Eldar can be enslaved. A few I've spoken to have stated that it's impossible, but have not backed their arguments with any canonical proof. They all said the Eldar are to "genetically advanced" to be enslaved by anyone, but I find that hard to believe. So this is where I turn the question over to you. Can they be enslaved by any means?

The same way you would enslave anything else.

Odd question, not 100% what you mean by enslaved, thats a pretty broad term.

If we are talking broken, mentally, to the point they accept slavery and serve without restraint, no, probably not.

However doesn't matter how smart, swift or skilled you are if your ankles and wrists are chained together.

Hard to judge how an fantastical alien race would deal with prolonged torture or other devices designed to make them compliant though.

Well if you're going to drop a bomb like mind control into the mix, anything is possible. But seriously, the Dark Eldar do this kind of thing all the time. It's not hard, or even rare.

I think the OP means more "mind control", Mindshackle scarabs and what have you.

My guess would be yes, the Dark Eldar in particularly have probably come up with ways.

Dark Eldar are an interesting one, its been a while since I read their books, but apart from the odd encounter, don't they largely leave one another alone?

I'm fairly sure that I've read about Eldar slaves in BL fiction before. I see no reason why it wouldn't be possible.

If a Dark Eldar doesn't know how to 'indoctrinate' someone to serve, then no one does in 40K.
That would be my take on it, so any poor Eldar who have the misfortune to end up in the dark city, are gak out of luck.

Dark eldar HAVE eldar slaves (including craftworld, and their dinosaur riding kin) Necrons have mind shackle scarabs that have turned the eldar into puppets.

Nothing about the eldar species makes them any more resistant to "enslavement" than any other species. If anything they would be easier to break than another species due to their heightened emotional state. When you think about what you need to do to someone to break them of their free will the fact the eldar feels that embarassment and humility on such a high level would probably amplify the rate at which their tormenters broke their subjects mind.

So there's no reason an Eldar can't be enslaved? Great.

Well there's some fluff in the current CSM codex about how Keepers of Secrets are able to mind crush Eldar, in that case rendering an Autarch unable to fight back as it killed him. Of course, they generally wouldn't be left alive long enough to really be called slaves in those cases either.

First off that's fairly offensive to gays.
Secondly having sex with anything that isn't human is fairly perverse
Third having sex with anything that doesn't consent to it is also fairly perverse (And using mind control doesn't to get them to give consent doesn't count)

Third that is called raping, and it is usual when it comes to POW and slaves.

My point?
My point was that calling me perverted for possibly being gay is something akin to hipocrisy when you claim you'd have sex with/rape a non-human life form.
