Hello everyone,

I'd like to introduce myself: I'm KrautScientist. I've been a long time lurker on Dakka ever since getting back into wargaming in late 2010 after a longer hiatus. I guess I just couln't put off registering any longer

I'm a 30 year old German and I've been into tabletop (war)gaming ever since I got my copy of Hero Quest as a Christmas present in the early 90s. I used to be quite heavily into Warhammer Fantasy but gradually grew to prefer 40k. After laying low for a couple of years, I was re-infected with the wargaming bug by my younger cousin who talked me into getting back on board with 40k.

My main hobby focus is converting and kitbashing plastic models into something I think looks cool and using them on the tabletop (oh, and thinking up fluff involving my creations in the back of my head). My most used force is a heavily customised force of World Eaters of about 3.500 to 4.000 points. I've also got a rather old Dark Eldar army (from the mid-to-late 90s) and small collections of Legio Custodes and Traitor Guard models, all kitbashed myself. I'm also a lot into converting Inquisitor models at the 28mm scale at the moment.

I'm not a fantastic painter by any stretch of the imagination, and my grip on the rules is sometimes tenuous at best, but I manage to get by

Oh, I also lack virtually any impulse control when it comes to buying little plastic men, but what else is new?

I love looking for awesome conversions and ideas on the forums and I hope I'll be able to showcase some of my own work in the future - here on Dakka and on my (fairly new) blog, Eternal Hunt, at http://www.eternalhunt.wordpress.com
