I'm glad they got something similar to a Contemptor, but not just a Contemptor with spikes on it. The model is really, really nice and its rules are nasty. I can't wait to see some painted ones in the coming months.

It’s interesting that outside of the heavy flamers, there’s not a single IoM accessible weapon on it. I wonder if these means we’ll be seeing more unique/divergent Chaos tech in IA12 and the next CSM codex.

I agree with this. I think I would die a little inside if the childish naming pattern from the SW/ BA codex was used. Imagine: “Skull Champion equipped with Skull Axe, Skull Shield and Skull trophy”. *shudder*

Damn, put dedication of nurgle on that thing, and laugh at your opponant's pathetic attempts to destroy it. It'll just keeps refusing to die, and when it does, there's a good chance it'll get right back up! I also love the thing with the flamer attacks against models inside of transports. Really cool idea there.

With the important differences of the Decimator having legs that look like they could feasibly hold it up and not having guns sticking out of various areas where a breach and ammo couldn't possibly fit.

The experimental rules are quite nice.
One of these with two Butcher Cannons and the Mark of Nurgle would be disgusting to face. Only BS3, but with 8 S8 shots, who cares? And if you manage to take it down, on a 5+ next turn it doesn't care, re-rolling if you fail it, similarly so if you manage to immobilise it or rip a weapon off, except it's there and then for the roll.

Wouldn't it be BS2 due to daemonic possession? Hopefully not, but they didn't say that the BS penalty was included in the profile, which they should.
