Gorrilawizard suggested thursday, which i'm happy to do. However it may affect full time membership as it would put us in competion with GW.

If people are agreeable to it, I might add something to the constitution in respect of Committee members having to pay member ship at least two month in advance in order to insure the club is able to contiuously operate.

A lot of this is theoretical still at the moment, i'm trying to get a meeting tommorrow after work so may be late to games night.

Thats cool man. I was think thursday was a bit harder to do seeing as it happens to be GW night as well.

Why no Wednesday or Monday?

Mondays are cool for me, also vice president to the world... i mean club is cool. I'll take it with open arms, thats if i am elected.

If we can get more people involved with this then i'm sure the membership will be worth it and the club will thrive with regulars, and the possibility of more scenery and more people getting involved with other games systems outside of GW i.e. Freebooters fate, Warmahordes, malifaux even wings of war which is so much fun and really non expensive at £12 for a plane to play with.

Sounds like we are up for it.

Would we go for GCN membership or not?

There are a few requirements for being GCN registered but not quite sure what they are, i know this cos Aftermath were GCN registered then weren't for a year and now they are again, not sure why they were kicked off registration with GCN.
Isn't it 1000 points +250 monsters and magic tomorrow night for storm of magic?

I've got an appointment after work to see the room and measure the tables/space. So will probably be quite late to games night someone video Jason speech for me though i'm sure it will be funny.

I'd rather remain unaffiliated to any other organisation as the whole point of this club, as I see it, is to run as we see fit not some external body.

Hi all,

While its good to see you all galvanised by the prospect of setting up a club, I just wonder if it might be worth seeing what we can do at Last Stand in terms of potentially increasing our gaming space and accomodating more people?

What you are doing sounds potentially quite expensive in terms of room hire, scenery purchasing (and then the building and painting of it) and storage. So if you embarking on this as a 'we have no alternative' project, then I might suggest holding fire for a couple of weeks before spending any money.

However, if you want your own club, that's cool, and good luck - and we'll look forward to stuffing you at the next club challenge

thanks Torgoch, we appreciate the offer, you have been very helpful =)

UPDATE:
After GW closed me and Jason sat down and had a conversation, I will not go into huge detail, but I will summarise it.

We discussed at great length and complete honesty several of the large issues we, as a group, have, also several more personal issues (no names were mentioned).

He was very honest and completely open, and imo a pleasure to speak to.

I eventually left at 10:30, but long story short, we are all invited to the pub next thursday, Jason is extending an olive branch and wishes to talk to us all... properly.

I urge you all to accept, as this is an opportunity.

Any questions?

oh, and Jason is NOT paying for drink at pub, just to be clear lol

I look forward to it.

However I do think that since we've lost 2 hours on Thursday evenings due to staffing issues (completely understandable since the regular very late nights were making the staff ill) there's no reason at all why we can't have the club on Mondays and still go along to GW as normal on Thursdays.

Hi All

Ok if we're all agreed I will be going to the school this week and signing the form and putting down the first payment. However in order to complete the form I need to put our club Name on it. So we need a name, so far the options that have been suggested are

Warpath
Equilibrium
Rebellion
Cold War

I haven't booked a day to go in yet but time is off the essence, has to be ths week as the scholl breaks up soon, so if people can let me know soon as what we want to be called I'd appreciate it.

Thanks
Spank

Out of that lot Warpath sounds best, however don't go to me for name advice I'm not good at them. Just look at my user name for proof of that.

Well i would say 'Warpath Gaming Club' tbh as we don't want to become a 3rd Reich do we, as having just Warpath as the name would be a bit weird for a gaming club in a school. That really didn't make much sense did it.... but Warpath Gaming Club sounds good.

well it was one of my names i came up with aswell as Equilibrium...

How about Warpath Wargames Club, I think it flows a bit better than Warpath Wargaming Club.
